Awwwwwwwww Curly, I'm just so happy for you this year. I'm thrilled that you got to put your tree up with your 'favourite person.' Christmas is always a very emotional time for me (lots of memories, etc.) You and yours deserve the best Christmas ever.

I love having a christmas tree up this year. Im glad i put it up early, it's cheery.

It was fun Trans, I'm glad i was repeatedly reminded that we needed to get one. And I'm glad i had someone to put it up with. I may not have put one up at all. Or just put up a two foot Christmas tree, with a few Christmas lights, and some stringed popcorn decoration.

Do you leave them on all night on Christmas Eve / Morning to light Santa's way, zukepr?

actually I stay up and wait for Santa
and by the time he comes and i beat the crap out of him i am just too tired to turn them off LOL

I love Christmas light on Florida.It is very sweet to have Christmas tree and warm weather...I have been for Christmas in Miami and Treasure Island...it was so nice...

too much of inventory, plus I buy all decorations at garage sale, cheap, but enough only for making one or two Topiary...
Between my photography, oil painting, sawing and...the day has only 24 hours...
I am making new this year. Each year I have different colors.

I think what mykl is trying to say here is that is that he lacks creativity and prefers a life of sameness... in other words he fears change because he believes in limitation... in other words... he is boring.

Until this year, I've always had a real tree, heavens. I can see benefits to having both.

You certainly have your tree lighting schedule down!

I always had a real one growing up, living in the country we just went out on my Grandfather's property and picked one out to chop down and bring to the house! It was fun for sure and nice but could only have it up for a couple of weeks!

A fake one can stay for the whole month of December or more! Plus, we live in an apartment so Fake makes most sense!!

Our old tree was raggedy and very old and my Hubby was tired of it so he threw it out after last Christmas...Now we are hoping that a really good sale will come up so we can get another one...Otherwise, we won't be having one this year! Believe me, I'm wishing now he hadn't threw it out! There is no money for anything this year and now no tree...Ah Well! We go to my Hubby's Birth Mothers on Christmas Day and she will have a tree so....
