How many of you are afraid to go shopping today on Black Friday?

I am not afraid, first there is nothing I really need, and another is that I don't have the money to spare. I don't like a crowd I usually shop all year long so by the time the sales are on I really don't need anything. I don't have to do much shopping for Christmas because all my children are grown, my grand children are into these video games.

Normally I don't head out on black Friday but I did need to take care of somethings. I didn't go to the mall, but a few other stores and really the stores were on busier than any other weekend.

I was out today and am now home. I was up at 3am to shower and was at Bonton at 4am. I then went from there to Pennys, Walmart, Big Lots, KMart, and Home Depot. It was a fun and profitable shopping trip. I got lots of bargains, am now almost done with my Christmas Shopping.
I wouldn't go out just to grab a gallon of milk or loaf of bread~ too long lines!

I went! I have gone for the last 9 years I wasn't going to miss this year! I wasn't impressed by the ads this year in fact I hardly seen any thing at all. But what I did go for I got and I am as happy as can be!

I had never gone shopping on Black Friday before today. There were a few things I wanted to get so decided to go big mistake I will never go shopping on Black Friday again I would rather pay the normal price on a normal day when I don't have to stand in line for over an hour just to pay.

I used to work in retail and have seen first hand the chaos that is Black Friday. I agree with you, I'm staying in! One year, I made it out on Black Friday to go shopping and got into a verbal argument with a woman over a t-shirt. No matter how much I adore shopping, I just can't get myself out of bed at 3 a.m. to do it!

I went shopping, but I waited until later for the crowds to die down. I have a story about a friend of mine that actually camped out one thanksgiving to get a big screen television. when the store opened she and her husband ran to the TV's just in time to get the last one. Her husband turned around and was punched in the face. The man that punched him, had also camped out, and claimed he had been there an hour before my friend so he deserved the TV. It turned into a fist fight. While the men were duking it out, she pushed the TV up front and bought it. I'm happy for her, but kind of sorry for the guy that camped out only to get a couple of black eyes for his trouble.

I guess it honestly depends on where you live because here it's not that bad. I'm not afraid to go to our 24hr wally world it's ok really it is.
