Black Friday: What was your experience? Good or Bad?  

Well I had a great day shopping for stuff got to do it in my home didnt wake up early and saved on a lot of money buying the whole southpark dvd collection a learn to play guitar book for dummies and rush snakes and arrows tour which I saw live and couldnt wait for it to come out on dvd. But I shopped on amazon.com which had some amazing savings today and I would never go out shopping because of all the mad people out there.

I have never been out on Black Friday. Thanksgiving Day I had told my mom lets go check it out. and she was like nope. I'm not going out in that mad house. So we didn't. and after reading those tragedies online today I don't think I will ever venture out on Black Friday. There are to many crazy people out there that think a new computer or television is more valuable then someones life. I will say an extra prayer for those people tonight. Everyday we are getting further and further from what Christmas is really about and turning it into a holiday filled with greed.

Thank Goodness that you survived, brokentia. It's good to know that you made it out mostly unscathed.

I tried the Black Friday thing a few years ago and was nearly trampled to death, and that's no exageration. I'm glad to know that you had a better experience than I, and were able to satisfy your curiosity without being maimed.

I take it that you got your Jammies? That's impressive in itself. Not only did you survive, but you got what you went to get. Wow. You're a natural.

I ventured out for a bit on the evening of Black Friday. I stayed away from most of the madness, but I didn't enjoy myself and so I went home.

But at least now you know why I say that
At least now you can say that you at least did it once
and no its not like WWE, its more like ECW where EXTREME rules apply LOL

i have never shopped on black friday. being in a crowded mall/store with long lines is not my idea of fun. i always get my christmas shopping done before thanksgiving to i can avoid all of that. if i still have a few things i need to get i go during the week while most people are working and the kids are in school so it is not too bad. you will never catch me in any other store than a grocery store on black friday.

I must say that I actually had a very good experience with Thanksgiving and Black Friday shopping. I enjoyed it. My purchases were very good deals. I didn't camp out or go with the mad rush of the wild crowd. It's scary and crazy! I just went to the stores after the frenziness has died down, when it was a bit quieter and calmer. There were still good sales left so it was all good. I did store hopping. I was happy, too, because I happened to be at the right time and right place with my purchases. Like in Kmart, they sold the SD cards at 6.99 where I bought them right away as I've been wanting to have those. When I hopped over to other stores, they sold it at a higher price. So good deals for me, yey!! I got more lucky purchases and surely made my day!

First of all welcome back. If I am not mistaken I have not seen you around here for quite a long time. WE don't have black Friday here in my country but we have a supermarket which put ridiculous prices on certain items and people start to crowd there at 4 or 5 am to be the first in line and buy items at a cheap price. Personally I hate queuing and I do hate greed.

Howdy stranger...long time no see you around here. I actually did a whole discussion about that poor soul that got trampled to death due to the herd of people stampeding into the Walmart. To be honest, it's not just Black Friday, but don't you notice that people tend to be ruder and more obnoxious during the Christmas shopping season? They are around my neck of the woods...I think the stores are really at fault...they advertise for super duper sale items then only stock just so many instead of being wise and ordering a lot of the item..as a just in case factor. People realize that certain items are in limited quantity which is why they act like a herd of buffalo to get it with a me first attitude.
Well I just bet you're never ever going to venture out on Black Friday again...I did the smart thing...stayed home..LOL

THen we are in the same boat. I tend not to venture out for the crowds and mayhem. I suppose that makes me a chicken! I have started doing most of my holiday shopping online.
