I just read about the Asus Eee computer this weekend in Popular Science It got a good review there. Their website says it is very durable. Prices were not bad. It is very compact. Search for Asus.com

yeah, Dell is always good for me.. I always prefer to have DELL. I think If you will purchase new DELl then after that your girlfriend will love your DELL and will return your old acer.

you are right. DELL is the best laptop and i always prefer and recommend to purchase DELL. I am using it from last 2 1/2 years without any problem.

Yes, I lave an HP Tablet PC, and I love it. But, I miss my old IBM/lenovo Thinkpad laptop. I have yet to use a keyboard that typed as well as a Thinkpad.

HP is also one of the best but DELL I think is the best among all.. This is what i think, my opinion.. I have not used HP for long time so may be the reason I cannot say anything much about HP.

yeah dude.. In some cases, HP overrides DELL, but, it depends on the configuration.. :)

yeah Ganesh, you are using IBM so how can you say that HP is good and if HP is good then why have you purchased IBM and why not HP. Is it because of price??

But I think there is not much price difference between IBM and HP.

I have used IBM Thinkpad, and I didn't like it. PErformance wise it is good but quality wise it is not at all good. Also when you look at the different potrs/interfaces in IBM ThinkPad it is little different.. so not much conformable for me.
