Prs. Bush and many in Congress have been pushing for an Active Duty military presence in Homeland Security for years. Today the Drudge Report posted a story by the Washington Times Staff Writers, Spencer S. Hsu and Ann Scott Tyson detailing this unconstitutional and illegal action. Every servicemember of all the branches of the US military is taught that it is not only our right, but our responsibility to disobey unlawful orders. The action is the poster child of unlawful orders. People of all parties and ideologies that love freedom should be up in arms about this total infringement of the Federal government on the rights of each state and We the People. If you have any family or friends in the 3rd Infantry Division (especially sr NCOs and Commissioned Officers) call them and implore them to disobey this most unlawful of orders. Call your Congressmembers and Senators to put this to a stop before it really gets started. The day this plan is implemented, the US Constitution dies.

Here are the details..sorry I didn't put the link in the OP. yes, it is illegal and unconstitutional... which is why all the troops, NCOs and Officers involved should refuse to obey the orders.

I have been SCREAMING about this for months. Directly from the horses mouth, the Army TImes website: http://www.armytimes.com/news/2008/09/army_homeland_090708w/ I have written senetors and state legislators. I am also right now working on legislation to make this a violation of state law in New Hampshire, to reinforce the law which alrady exists. I would sugget others do the same.

What are the details of this, Ted? I'm really not too familiar with it, I'm kind of embarrassed to admit, but it sure doesn't sound right to me either. I'll have to do some research on it now so I can discuss it without looking like a dummy! Annie
