9th anniversary of unang hirit

pinoy tv: Im not sure if GMA Kapuso Network's Unang Hirit is the longest running morning show in Philippine television. Well for now, it is. I am not sure though if they have surpassed rival network ABS-CBN's now defunct Magandang Umaga Bayan (which was then hosted by Christine Bersola and hubby Julius Babao) before the latter went off the air several years back. Sometimes it could not be understood why ABS-CBN would just suddenly change its mind on certain shows that are working properly and have been on air for a long time. Is talent fee the concern? Of course, the longer the show, the higher the salary and I think that naturally, the higher the benefits of its employees, including the hosts, which receive the bulk of the production budget. But I wonder GMA's shows stay so long on the air. Bubble Gang has been there for like 13 years, and Eat Bulaga...Oh my gosh, decades??? I think that is the difference with the two networks. People get to enjoy their favorite shows at GMA over and over again throughout the years and we don't hear of irate hosts who were suddenly taken off the air even if their shows are rating. Oh well, for now, congratulations to the 9th anniversary of Unang Hirit. I like this show, it is very interesting and fast paced. And of course, I get to listen to the earliest news of the day. More power to the Kapuso Network! (is it obvious that I am a Kapuso?)
