There has been many famous people in our time, alot of what those people did there is a lot of people that are to be admired. Some of those people would include marilyn Monroe. Not many people know the facts about her. I am here to tell you her interesting story. I bet you thought her famous name is the same as the name she was born with. If you thought this then you were wrong. marilyn was born with the name norma Jeane Mortenson. She was born on June 1, 1926 in Los Angeles California. Her mother's name is Gladys baker. Her father's name is unknown. Marilyn's mother worked at RKO studios cutting flim, then she developed psycological problems and was confined to a mental hosipital. through out Marilyn's life she bounced around from foster home to foster home until the year 1937. At that time she moved in with a family friend named Grace Mckee Goddard. She stayed there until Grace's husband got transfered to the east coast for his job. In 1942 Marilyn married her 21 year old neighbor named Jimmy Dougherty. She was married four years before she got a divorce. On August 26, 1946 she started her career with 20th century fox. Shortly after she was signed with 20th century fox, she died her hair blonde and changed her name to what you would know her as Marilyn Monroe. In 1947 she played in THE SHOCKING MISS PILGRIM, THE ASPHALT JUNGLE and ALL ABOUT EVE and many more. She was voted "best new actress of 1953. She died on August 5, 1962.
