Do you catch more men with honey or vinegar?

I always try to be nice a person. I don't like being mean. I've noticed, many people respond nicely to me, because I'm mainly polite and thoughtful. While that's nice, I just try to do the right thing. However, I've been unlucky in love. My mother told me, the worse you treat men, the better they'll treat you. I never really tried it. Currently, there are some men in my life I feel don't belong in it. I'm not pursuing them or having contact with them. Now, I'm getting emails, text, and phone calls. I'm also getting treated nicer when they see me somewhere. Do you think men like women who treat them nice or women who don't care? Men, what do you like?
