The military is driving me crazier than I am  |

 Ok my son is preparing for deployment.
Last night he called and told me about
the pre deployment ceremony, and what they have told him.
After the holidays he will be sent to another base stay there
for such and such time. Then has a few days to come home,
then back to the base. From there he'll be deployed over.
This is months away. Ohhh my!! According to what he
has been told, the only time we have with him is Christmas
and I'm very grateful for that, and the few days he'll have
leave. I won't get to see him after that for a long long time.
I guess its just the military's way of preparing us all. Is this
normal routine?

5.  camomom (3539) | 1 year ago |  My fiance was in the Marines, he was never deployed anywhere but he says as far as he knows it's pretty routine. He also said that there should be contact through mail and phone calls and possibly even internet via webcam. I hope this is true, so that you can still see him when he's gone. It's got to be hard for you and your family. Best wishes to you all.

My son has a laptop he is taking with
him,hopefully he can hook up to the
internet while hes there. I'm learning
the military lifestyle is a rollercoaster

infact they will allocate a rejment and then all movements will be with rejmint
and then leaves are not that easy to get
