Unusual christmas trees   

Yes kate that is indeed very unusual. Did you make it yourself?
I remember whem i was little going & collecting pine gones. We sprayed them with gold & silver & used them for christmas decorations. Some turned out really well as they were large.
In the pic is the next unusual christmas tree!

oh, it was my parents' first ever christmas tree... way before i was born - so i'm guessing it's about 30 years old already :) it would be really cool to make my own but pine cones are a bit rare in my area.

Yes! I grew up in a jewish family, and although we weren't religious, to have a christmas tree was kind of frowned upon as it was "what christians do", and so associated with christianity. So most jewish households just don't have them. (Although my grandma kind of rebelled against this when we were younger, and she used to sometimes have a miniature one for us kids ).

And since then, although I've really wanted one, this has sort of stayed with me and stopped me from ever buying one before.

But now that my daughter's old enough to appreciate decorations and colourful lights I thought it would be nice for her to have one. And now I know that christmas trees don't have christian origins anyway; they were originally pagan, I am even happier about it as I'm something of a pagan myself!

Well, it would never make it in a department store model, but we enjoy it, along with memories, which is how I like it, more personable..:) (BTW, you did find some crazy trees, like the one on the ceiling..)

I dont know to hang it but for upside doon ,well what you gota do is easy.
Ya turn it upside doon..top into a vase..plastic,filled with stones,which you will find in my garden...thats good

If we hang it upside down and high enough, maybe that will keep the kittens off it. I doubt it though!
