I came out to my parents when I was eighteen. My good friends knew when I was 17 but just found it so hard to actually get the words out to my parents at that time.
The way I actually came out to them was not the best. I had been seeing this guy for a few months and then found out that he didnt want me and instead wanted my best friend.
I suffer from depression and just couldnt handle it so sent a sms to my friends that I was going to end it all. One of my good friends decided to call my mum and tell her what I was about to do.
She walked in and saw me crying and starting to carve up my arms. She asked me what was going on and I ended up telling her the whole story.
She was a bit funny with me for a few days but she is so cool with it now. I am going out with my current partner for four years and it has gotten to the stage that both her and my sister talk to him more then me.
In the end I am glad that I did come out to them but love to go back and change it and not tell them under the same circumstances | |
