|  I am just so mad. My daughter who is 5 learned in school about several different religions and holidays celebrated in America and around the world. But not one thing about Santa or Jesus. Then I here on the news about people not being able to put anything that represent Santa or Jesus in public places, like colleges, malls, or political places of business. We are suppose to say happy holidays now. Well that is all well and good, fine. Well I wish anyone and every freaking body a happy holiday no matter what day of the year it is. But don't tell me I can't say Merry Christmas. Don't teach my child about holidays of this time a year without putting Jesus or Santa but do everything else! I am so mad right now, I could spit bullets.
So to everyone around the world, I wish you happy holidays this time of year and any other time of the year that you have a holiday. But today as Christmas is coming, I say loudly MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! And hope you have a happy New Year.

| |  Oh my gosh, this totally hits a nerve with me, but I will refrain from saying what really want to say. I completely agree with you!! I am a Christian that celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ and I proudly say MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone I know and speak to! So, if someone gets offended by me saying MERRY CHRISTMAS......WELL THEY CAN GET OVER IT!!! America is a very diverse country and we have learned (whether we liked it or not) to accept other religions, holidays and traditions. But when we want to celebrate Christmas and talk about Santa, Jesus and the Bible, it is suddenly offensive. So....I think I'm just going to stop right there....!!!

| |  I think the hype on this is really getting overdone. I agree that all religions and holiday celebrations should be taught in schools so that the kids respect that not everyone believes or celebrates the same. It is supposed to be a joyful holiday regardless of religious beliefs. I do not get offended that someone celebrates honoka and not christmas. I find it hard to believe that others get offended by those celebrating Christmas. My kids did not believe in Santa from a very,very young age. Still, Santa is part of the holiday...a fun part. Not everyone is religious but lets face it...Christ's birth is where the holiday started. The manger scene is beautiful whether one believes or not. I don't see how it could be offensive to anyone. The calendars all still mark the 25th as Christmas. Merry Christmas!!
