Why can't we live like ants?

Ants are one of the many creatures that we often use for comparison or similarise to a hardworking fellow.Ants like bees are social creatures.Human beings are also social animals.But what makes us different from ants is the ability or liberty to think.Ants are somewhat programmed like machines.They do the same thing everyday throughout their life.But man has discerning capacity whih makes him do the appropriate thing at the appropriate time.He does not act like pre-programmed machine.He thinks and react according to circumstances.Being a social animal man cannot exist without completely depending on others.If all of us live a cordinated and tolerant life everyone's life would be smoother.But it is the ego that sometimes stands in the way of tolerance and co-operation which makes man grumble about things.So to emulate the good qualities of ants one needs to shed his ego and be humble.Like an empty vessel which makes more sound a humble and tolerant person produce more result effortlessly.
