How do you keep your cats our of your Christmas Tree | | Just wondering how you keep your cats from messing with your ornaments and climbing your trees. I only have a mild problem right now but I am hoping for some advice that will help me and many others out there:). My cats generally leave the tree alone. Instead, they prefer to bat the bottom ornaments around:) I have heard that boiling a lemon and orange and letting it steep and then spraying it on the tree will keep cats away. I haven't tried this yet. Has anyone else?

I think the most important thing you can do is to stay on top of them and to discipline them as soon as you see them starting to climb up the tree. Also, a squirt bottle filled with water to squirt them once or so when they start to climb or do anything bad for that manner is usually a good way to get cats to stop doing things they shouldn't.
