When was the last time you had a cold? I have one right now.
Did you take anything for it? I have taken a few sinus pills and a few Excedrin for the headache that comes with it.
How long did it last? Going on about a week now.
Did you have a fever? no, my temperature was actually below normal when I checked yesterday morning.
If you had a cough, what was the color of the stuff you were coughing up? NO cough, but I have been having major drainage that I have been hacking up and it is a light green/yellow.

Do you have any suggestions for getting rid of the white noise in my ear? No good suggestions for your ears. I have never had that problem. I normally get itchy ears not clogged ones.

I hope you kick your colds butt soon. It sucks to be sick!

I doesn't sound like the common cold to me. Have you been to a doctor about it? You may have an infection of some kind.
Antibiotics don't work against colds or the flu, so if you're taking them, you're running the risk of developing "super bugs." Also, cold medicine doesn't get you over a cold, it just suppressed the symptoms. Try some more natural remedies, like gargling with salt water, drinking tea with honey and lemon, drinking lots of fluids otherwise and getting some extra rest.

The last time I had a cold was a few weeks ago, my fiance had it and he gave it to me. It lasted maybe two weeks. We both took tylenol cold, the warming stuff. I didn't have a fever, well not that I know of. I coughed, but nothing came out, it was dry. As for the sugestions on getting rid of lack of hearing, I have no idea

Hi raz, When i moved to the east coast sept 7th this year. . I went to bed the night before my flight with a slight tickle in my throat and i was thinking.. oh jezz please dont wake up sick. and then before i could get an hour sleep my older daughter woke me up with a cough runny nose and a small fever. she was fine before she went to bed! needless to say that was the WORST 2 hours of my life.. on that plane.. my ears where so clogged after the plane i couldnt hear for two days and i couldnt take any pills cause i'm still nnursing. So everyone ehre got the cold too. it stuck with my older daughter and my mother the l ongest. my mom stil had the cough after a month.

You should get that checked out though raz, Something must be wrong for it to hang on that long.. did you take ALL your antibiotics till they were gone ? If you stop taking them when you feel better they wont get rid of all of the infection.. But i know you know this right~ lol.

I feel that if 'a cold' last more than nine days then it is no longer a cold but something more serious. I haven't had a cold in ages but I do get sinus trouble For that I use an aerosol machine which works wonders. Have you got one? If not trying putting lemon juice into a bowl of boiling water. Then you lower your head and nose towards the steam and cover yourself and the bowl with a towel. Breathe in the steam for as long as you can and see if that loosens some of what is clogging up your breathing apparatus.

i just have a cold about a month ago and the worst part is, i have to board an aeroplane with such a bad cold... my ears feel so painful and i can't hear as well after that... even after i alight from the plane, it took some times before my ears can go normal again... i just take cold medicine and i am already much better now... good luck... hope you will feel better soon... take care and have a nice day...

I haven't had a cold in quite a long time. Whenever I feel one coming on I take achinacea. It sounds like you have a limp immune system. You need to take some L-Lysine. It is an amino acid and helps to strengthen your immune system. Take about 5 a day for a week and then follow instructions from then on. You can get it at a health food store or drug store. I also drink lemon juice in my water for the Vitamin C. The white noise will go away when you get over your cold. You may have a ear infection even though you did not say you had any pain. If there is any infection you will probably be coughing up greenish-yellow stuff. Lots of liquids so you can rid your body of the crud.

O God it is so pity ! I was suffering cold before two days. I just drink pepper tea. I used vicks. I used dolo650 tablets for two days. I just drink lemon tea also. Then my cold went. I think these treating tricks help to cure my cold. My cough was white. I did not bath for three days. I did not wet my head for 4days. It was a tough experience. My head became hot and irritated me. Now I am ok. You please try these methods and inform me the experience. Ok.

That sounds like a really bad cough! Have you seen the doctor for any medication? I remember just a few days ago, there was an article running in our local newspaper about cold symptoms that does not go away, and that it may be a symptom for nose cancer.

The article mentioned that it all start off with a runny nose, cold, cough and a ringing noise in the ears that just cannot go away. And majority of the times, the majority of us think that it is just a normal cold, but in fact it's our body telling us that there is something more serious than just a cold.

Sorry, I am not cursing you or anything, but it is just that your cold had been running for a month or so, and this proved to be something serious. Do see the doctor alright??

For me, the last time I had a serious cold was at the begining of this month. It was so horrible and it lasted for an entire week. My nose was running, and I felt miserable every single other day. As I do not believe in medication, I did not take anything for it even though my doctor had prescribed a whole lot of medication for me to take. I don't want my body to be dependable on medicine and I want it to recover on its own so that it could develop the necessary antibodies in the event that such an illness were to occur again.

I had a fever and it was my mother who was sponging me down to get rid of the fever. It works as apparantly I was as well as a fit bull the very next day! Hehe Coughing comes with my illness, but it boils down to an allergy cough, which means to say that my lungs were irritated by all the smoke that I was putting into my body through smoking. There was blood coughed up, and the doctor said that it was due to a tissue tear from all those coughing that I was doing.

Well, now, I am well again, and all of these have come to pass. Hmm, and I am very sure that your body will also recover from this bout of illness in no time. However, I have no suggestions to give for the white noise in your ears. I too, experience that once in a while, and it is due to an imbalance of the fluid in my inner ears, which will lead to giddiness. I am not too sure of your other symptoms that lead to this, and of course I am not medically trained.

The best advice? Get a consultation from a professional. That would be the best remedy and the best way to make your heart at peace.
