Finally, The New Wolverine Movie |
| |
| The "X-Men: Origins" Trailer is finally up and running: http://www.worstpreviews.... May 1st is the release date. I read the 6 part story arc 'Origins' and it was very good. Still don't know everything there is to know about Wolverine, he's an enigma that's not meant to be solved. The movie will have Deadpool and Gambit; why Wolverine hates Victor Creed (Sabertooth) and has vowed revenge, leading him to the Weapon X Project in Canada. Also, I noticed a few people from Alpha Flight in the preview. Wolverine was with Alpha Flight before he was with the X-men. Hugh Jackman is looking especially fit in this installment of X-Men. Oh, this is going to be so good, I don't know how I'll be able to wait... | | | | | |

| | Its one of the "must-watch" movies in 2009. However, don't lever your expectation too high... Hugh Jackman alone may not do it well without other famous actors. Look back at previous movies that prevail by Hugh Jackman: X-Men 1, 2 and 3: Sir Ian McKellen as Magneto and Patrick Stewart as Prof. Charles Xavier were the main characters who are leading the story. Without them, thumbs down... The Prestige [2006]: Christian Bales overwhelmed Jackman. Deception [2008]: Ewan McGregor overwhelmed Jackman. Sword Fish [2001]: John Travolta makes Jackman a sidekick... Van Helsing [2004]: The movie sucks... | | | | | | |

| | It's my Must See of 2009. I am an enthusiastic Marvel Comics fan for over 30 years. I know all the great storylines Marvel has under their belt. I won't be disappointed. Uncanny X-Men is my favorite title and Wolverine one of my most beloved characters. Just seeing my comicbook heroes on the big screen is enough for me. Prior to seeing the first X-Men movie I thought Hugh Jackman was all wrong for the part of Wolverine, for many reasons but I had to admit that he did a great job in the role. I expect no less from him in this one. Wolverine's backstory was one of the most highly anticipated story-arcs in Marvel history. I don't know about non-comicbook readers, but as a long time reader I am happy with the movies. I love Patrick Stewart and will see him in anything, and Ian is just as great an actor. They were perfectly cast to the roles of Prof. X and Magneto, two more of my favorite characters. If this Wolverine movie goes over well, they plan on doing another X-Men Origin story of the early relationship of Prof X and Magneto. Another of my all time favorite story arcs; one not to be missed. Marvel is a treasure trove of epic story arcs, decades worth of material. I can only hope it continues. And if not, no worries for me, I've read them all already, I know the stories. | | | |

| | I think so too! When I saw him in the preview, I thought he looks very much like Gambit. If he can do a really good Cajun accent, then I'll be happy. | | | |

| | I've been reading Marvel for over 30 years. The story-arcs I've read! There's a treasure trove of material already there, they could make movies for the next 50 years and not tap all the awesome stories Marvel has. I know there's going to be a Captain America, Thor, Ironman 2 and 3, Spiderman 4 and 5. They claim are waiting to see how this Wolverine movie does in the theaters before doing another Origin story, the one about Charles Xavier and Magneto when they were young and friends. That was a fantastic story. Did you ever read the Joseph story? That's my all-time favorite X-Men story. | | | |

| | LOL, the first time I picked up my first Marvel comic was like 15 years ago. I have stopped reading for like more than 7 years already. I am not fully familiar with the Xmen stories for all of them. After they spawned so many different tangents for the Xmen, I got lost and only stuck to a few. I heard about Ironman 2, 3 and Spiderman 4, 5. I also heard about Thor and Captain America. I sure hope they make the Captain America better than the last installment with Red Skull as the main nemissis. Story about Joseph? Can you cue me in on that? There are so many series in Marvel that I lost touched with many of them in the past few years I missed comics! Dang! I really missed buying and reading comics! | | | |

| | I know what you mean, there were so many X titles, I just couldn't afford them all. I started with Uncanny X Men and that's what I stuck with in the end. I haven't read any for a couple of years either. There was a store I'd go to where i could get them for 50 cents an issue, they'd be a month old, but at 50 cents, who cares? Compared to $3. an issue, it was great. But the store closed down. Probably bankruptcy, LOL Joseph: Magneto's enemy Astra created a clone of Magneto: Joseph. Sent to kill Magneto, but during the battle somewhere in South America, he was knocked unconscious. A nun found him, later sending him to the US to find the X-Men and they thought he was Magneto only younger. He didn't act like Magneto or remember the things Magneto did, yet he looked like Magneto and has his powers; it was a locial conclusion that they thought he had amnesia. They gave him a 'second' chance and made him and X-Man. The real Magneto returned, messing with the Earth's magnetic sphere to disrupt the world's electrical systems. Joseph sacrificed his life to repair the damage done to the magnetosphere. Once again, Magneto is thwarted in his attempt at world dominance. That's the bare bones of the story, but the way it was written, makes you see a Magneto who could have been, full of goodness and not bitter and angry. I've always sympathized with Magneto, I can see why he is the way he is, I just don't like how he does things. Joseph was a character I could love, that part of Magneto that I know is still in him somewhere. | | | |

| | When i was a kid, There has been movies of Captain America and Mighty Thor. I'm sure it's from Marvel because it's licensed so the future Captain America and Mighty Thor are remakes like The Incredible Hulk. | | | |

| | Like I said, I have seen the movie Captain America before. AND the show is, well, kinda kidish by today's standards. Red Skull is not very impressive. That is why I hope the new Captain America Movie would be better. As for the Thor, I do not remember seeing it. Any idea who is the actor? | | | |

| | The preview does look good. I am impressed. And that's sayin alot coming from me, because I absolutely hated all 3 of the exmen movies!! I was completely disapointed with those films. When you look at them, all of them were pretty much about wolverine anyway. I'm glad to see that they are involving sabertooth in this one more than the 1st one. From what I know, Sabertooth and Wolverine have alot of history. And I thought it sucked how they didn't get into it in the 1st Xmen movie. But I am impressed with what I've seen so far. They have my favorite character in Gambit in the film. That's who I've been waiting to see. I just hope I'm not disapointed when I go to see this movie. The other 3 xmen movies don't even exist to me, along with the crapy a$$ spiderman 3 movie they just did. What a waste!!! | | | | | | |

| | Yeah, there's a lot of history between Wolverine and Sabertooth. I think they didn't give us that earlier because they wanted to get people interested, have them wondering about Sabertooth and the Weapons X program. I've been waiting for Gambit since they started doing these movies. I love that character and the actor who's playing him, looks like Gambit. I'm excited to see this movie. I like all the Marvel movies, some more than others. | | | |

| | I hadn't heard anything about this movie even being produced but I can't wait to see it. Wolverine was always my favorite character & I hope they hold true to his history. They could probably make a whole long movie run with just him since he's a lot older then he appears. | | | | | | |

| | I've known about this for quite a while. This one is Wolverine's story. I've read the story a few years ago, something I've waited 30 years for. Wolverine is one my most beloved Marvel characters. There's to be another Origin story of the early friendship between Charles Xavier and Magneto. | | | |

| | I remember that story too. They were in the same holocaust camp. Not a whole lot to make a movie from. They mostly told that part of the story as flashbacks. Wolverine's been around for ages so there's lots to work with. | | | |

| | I saw the trailer of X-Men:Origins a few days ago together with my nephew and all we can say was "Wow!". My nephew's 10 years old and he may not recognized Gambit but i did and it seems to me like this is the kind of X-Men i want to see because this reminds me of the cartoon The Uncanny X-men. Good think about the movie too is the presence of Sabretooth. As Wolverine's greatest nemesis, he should be there. | | | | | | |

| | I've been waiting for Gambit for a while now. Each new movie, I think, Is Gambit going to be in this one. So I'm very happy we're finally getting him in a movie. Wolverine and Sabertooth have a very long and twisted history, we really couldn't have Wolverine's story without having Sabertooth in it. They are each a huge part of each other's history. This one looks spectacular. And Jackman looks buff as hell in this. X-Men: Origins is my most anticipated 2009 movie. | | | |

| | Why did they call this site worstpreviews? Lol! Anyway the movie looks just fine and I can already sense it will top the box office. Did I see a young Storm somewhere in there? I haven't read the comics, but then again maybe that's good because I'm totally unaware of the plot. When this movie comes up I'll be there! Thanks for the link! | | | | | | |
