Did anyone else put all their plants in the bathtub, during the freeze?

My guest bathroom looked like a jungle in there with all the plants. I kept expecting to see Tarzan popping out amongst them? It was wild and I was sure glad to get them all back outside......

We didn't have a freeze, but I do put my big house plants in the bath tub to water them.

Since I live in Minnesota the land of the big freeze my left over plants are now frozen in their pots in front of the house....I don't put anything out there though that I expect to last more then one growing season....every year I put something else out and that's kinda nice!

Oh these plants all are growing in the same pots and they are getting biggeer and I wanted to protect and save them because they are pretty. Some of them are gifts to me and I want to have them grow well and take cuttings to place in other pots in spring.

It is Kansas, they cannot be outside here. I have two or three areas of my house that need to have an ape, and a parrot, and maybe a giraffe walk through. I think it helps keep up the humidity, that is if I remember to water them. I will spread them back around more once the Christmas tree is out of here, though. If you find Tarzan, tell him "Hi" from me, okay?

I never put mine in the bathtub. I very seldom bring them indoors. We make sure they are watered and take the hanging baskets down and cover them all with a sheet. Mine are on a covered patio and has a short siding around it except where the walk leads to the yard so that helps block some of the wind. If it is going to get really really cold then they will be moved but so far so good with them.

I've had a bathtub full of plants before myself. I have a lot of plants that love to hang out on the deck when the weather is nice but need to be brought in over the winter months. In the last house we lived in, we had a separate shower and bathtub. The tub was one of those corner things, shaped like a triangle. If you've ever bathed in one of them, then you know how uncomfortable they are! They're pretty and all but, dang! So impractical!!! But, they're a great place to put your plants! Yep, we had a really large window just above the bathtub so my plants got a lot of sunlight. They LOVED it in there! High humidity, lots of light, nice and snuggy warm instead of outside, dying in the cold. Yeah, I thought Tarzan or, at the very least, Cheeta, would be seen peeking through the leaves!

well, it seemed like the only logical place to go with them. I wasnt going to loose them and so it was better then the kitchen lol It just seemed so weird looking in there and all you could see was green and then I thought where is that Tarzan dude lol hehehehheheheh not that it would be appealing to have some ape man in the bathroom lol hahahhahahhahahhahahhahah

Since I live in the frozen north, I don't have plants out anymore. But when we get those late frosts in the spring, I run outside and put sheets over all my newly planted annuals. It must look really silly to the neighbors tucking my flowers in to bed at night. But this year it happened right after I purchased and planted a bunch around my bushes in the front of the house. Hey! I'm not one for wasting any money! I wasn't going to let Jack Frost (or Jack anybody, for that matter) knock off my foliage!
