Are You Better Than Your Kids in Computer Knowledge?  

I am. That's because it's my line of profession. I've been working on computers for 17 years.

I learn computer from my boys. What a shame, isn't? But you must remember I grow up when computer and surfing was not born yet. There were in fact very impatient to teach an 'old horse'. But I am persistent. They are real computer savvy and I managed to learn computing through trail and errors and from the tips they gave me. since they are working in other towns I am left to myself to fall and rise in my quest to learn more and I am proud I can handle it now without them. I cannot be on par with my children in terms of computer knowledge. They are more advance.

Unless your like a senior citizen ( no pun attended seniors) then I would hope the parent is, computers have been out since at least the mid seventies. The only reason my dad knows more than I do is that was a new field when he grew up and he went into it and now is a computer programmer.

I can say that I am pretty knowledgeable in computer stuff myself, having gone to school for a few different computers classes, and also being taught by my dad, and also just learning by myself in general.

yes, it does help out when it comes to research and also like presentations and all. There was this girl in my health class who even blew my presentation awaay with her power point skills...and with over 10 years of power point under my belt I thought i would have one of the best. ha ha !

i mean i knw more then my paretns
and love helping them out!

My oldest son knows next to nothing
about computers. He can send a comment
on a social site,I got him into. The youngest
son knows his way around computers rather well.
Here they teach the kids in school about computers.
I think in some ways it is good, but not in others.
