Do you feel people do not mean SORRY in the right sense, they just pretend?Thnx

Yes I do feel that people dont mean it when they say they are sorry. It seems to me that they are pretending. My ex husband and his girlfriend have said sorry to me so many times that it is just another lie to me. They have lost all their credibility. Why say sorry if they dont mean it???

i think you are always correct as usual,and i guess i have an incident for this too,but here i did the mistake:i was a playful girl in my school days and i was the team leader of my whole group,all will obey me,so i used to talk a lot,chat unwantedly and do so om,i was really careless on the teacher's part,i never respect them,and once a new teacher arrived,she didnt teach well,we all commented and at last she complained to the principal and we got nice scoldings,we said sorry,but she said that do you know the meaning of sorry?and she said,we must not do the same thing if we utter that word,at first we were very angry and went away from the room,i came to my mother and said these,she was the person to explain me about this and at first,she was ver angry,then she explained all to me and i went and asked soor to the principal maam,then i never used it for a game or cheat,i realized the wrong i did and said sorry from the bottom of my heart and till now i do this,hope this is my memorable experience for understanding the word sorry..

Yes, maybe you are right. I think so that some 'sorry's are not genuine 'sorry's. But I am not a mind reader. So I can just believe what they say. If they say 'sorry', It means they are sorry. It is said that eyes are windows of heart. But mouth is the door of it. We can see inside someone's house from its windows, but that's not the polite way. If we come to visit some friend, we will enter his house through its door, not its windows. That's is the polite way to enter a house. Similarly, if we want to deal with people, we can just deal based on his words, not our interpretation on his eyes condition.

For some people words like SORRY comes out like a reflect: they don`t really mean the meaning of sorry, they say it just because it is appropriate to say it in that particular situation.

I have accepted SORRY for the same person like 4 times, afterwards I simply didn`t take it seriously nor accept those words of sorry. It was a waste of my energy and my nerves.

You should not take Your work colleagues seriously as well. They might just make fun of You, because You always accept their SORRY words. STOP and You will be surprised how the situation will change.
