Hello lilaclady. It is so nice to have a photo album of yours with so many photos added to it. Well, I have also many photo albums. I think that it is fun to have them as those photos always remind us of those wonderful days and happy hours that we have ever had. Enjoy yourself, friend.

I know what you mean. I treasure my photos. I like the albums too as we can look through them and laugh over so many memories. With digital - they are not so readily available.

I want to get one too, I don't know when I will have the money but this is one of the things I would like to have in the future.

It is interesting lilaclady as many people either just store their digital photos on their computer, without ever bothering to print any. Some people do print the photos that they like, but do not realise that it is actually cheaper to go to one of those digital photo machines which do a great job.

When printing the photos at home, some people do not seem top take all the costs into account. For example there is the quality photo paper plus the printer ink and in some instances an actual special photo printer, if their "every day" printer does not do a good job with photos. The cost of thgose things have to be taken into consideration plus there is a possibility that the photo does not turn out very well of the paper is crooked etc.

A photo album is good and something that we can look at whenever we like plus show to others. That is not always possible when they are stored on a computer hard drive or maybe a DVD.

With regard to the price, quite recently I saw one place where people could print their own photos and it had a sliding price scale. From memory it cost 9 cents for 200 prints, 10 cents for 100-199, 11 cents for 75-99 and so on it went. From memory the most expensive print was 18 cents and that was if you only wanted the 1 print. I cannot remember if there was a specific size which was linked to the price because at the time I just glanced in passing.

Hello lilaclady. I'm sure it was nice to create your own favorite photo album. I always go to the photo shop also whenever I want to print my photo from my digital camera, but the guy whom operated the machine was the one busy with the printing procedures, lol. I'm just sitting nicely and wait for 15 minutes to have them ready, because they won't let me print out the photos myself, it may take hours for me to finish, lol.

yeah and the nicest thing of digital photo we can delete the pics we dont like or not dine properly.not like the old photo film we dont know what pic we got just print it all then we see it.

Yes, I like the album as well, best thing is, you don't need to turn it on, and no batteries.

I have both types of cameras, digital and film, I did B&W film myself, but any colour film went off to the shop.

It sounds ok what you are doing now, the shop is all set up for it.
No mess, major cost or waste. Pay for your jobbie and you're off.

Digital prints I had to do myself, I went out with a bee in my bonnet and got a very nice new Epson R290 printer, then trotted off to Union Rd, Ascot Vale, and a shop there, (Puckle St end, west side opp dentist) makes these continuous ink tanks. I go pretty hard on the printer, only had to refill the tanks twice in 1 year.
The standard 8 different cartridges, went empty after 1 week. The standard set costs about $100. I have already saved $100's and 100's of dollars. The printer is unbelievable, I can shrink screen shot pics down to print on a CD or DVD and when I look at it with a 10 x, you can actually read the microscopic writing, never seen that before.
I guess, for your own use, or your friends, if you don't like how fast the cartridges empty and the cost, think about an ink tank, here's the addy from Google.
