Good movie plots falling flat at the end.

The first movie that came to my mind is "I am Legend". I was really disappointed at the end when Will Smith died. For me that end was just stupid. Another one was Vantage Point, brilliant plan and than one agent discovers everything!

I've been seeing alot of movieslike that lately. It's either the movie or a ceratain character in a movie that seems to be the most interesting that ends up not having enough parts or gets killed off, which makes you loose interest in the film. A few examples for me would be "Tropic Thunder". The movie was stupid. But Robert Downey and Tom Cruise should have been the main characters n this film. I have not been a fan of the characters that Ben Stiller has played in some of his movies. He was not funny in this movie at all. Robert Downey being dressed up in black face and trying to act black, and Tom Cruise's character were the only things that made me laugh. Then towards the end Robert Downey pulls off his make up and I loose interest in his character.

Another film would be Sin City. The only character I had any interest in was Marv. That was the guy with the big ugly face played by Mickey Rourke. I rented this movie from blockuster, and after Marv died I wanted to press the eject button. This was the 1st time I had to force myself to sit through a movie. Partly because I was so convinced that he didn't die and was going to pop up somewhere at the end. A character like that needs his own screen time.

And then there's Hell Boy 2. I thought it was pretty good. But the end disapointed me. He finds out his girl is pregnant. I was really waiting to see a bunch of little hell babies running around at the end. But what do I get. She tells Hell Boy she's expecting twins, he turns around and looks at her and the movie goes off. What the hell kind of ending is that. It seems like the directors are not putting very much effort into the ending of their movies these days. It's like they're getting tired and lazy from working on a film for so long that they half do the job just to get the movie finished. It's kind of like the last season of the Sopranos. They just filmed a bunch of crap at the end very quickly just to get it over with.
