Heavy Metal and Classical Music  

I think that would be accurate because both genres of music don't really repeat very much and they are always changing and bringing forth new ideas musically. There are some bands that I wouldn't consider as good as classical music but there are others that definitely make you smarter when you listen to them.

I think it is true. Its kind of strange in its own way. When you consider both genres they both more complex then other genres, often overlap each other, and both usually create a darker atmosphere. Even "nicer" sounding metal (example: Iron Maiden, usually) is darker than a regular folk band, country music, pop music, and such. Often people who listen to these genres are more secluded and shy too. Its interesting. If you'd like to see the epitome of classical music mixed with heavy metal, I suggest checking out the song "Eradication Instincts Defined" by Dimmu Borgir. Its pretty intense, actually; and very moving.

i do like both genres. and i find melodic metal to be very relaxing and operatic vocals over heavy chugging guitars makes for some great music. if you are into this you shoud check out a band called apocalyptica, they combine the two, it is transcendental, so is the movie repo! the genetic opera, check out that soundtrack too.

i think that whoever likes these genres will appreciate these. my favorite song from the repo soundtrack is zydrate anatomy, hard to believe that vapid silly little girl paris provides vocals as amber sweet and that sweet little girl from spy kids plays shiloh.
