I think Chinese people.... Although they are quite people but they have the financial powers to control the world economy....

I think those who top the following category,politics, wealth and entertainment are the most powerful .

Consequently I think persons like Barrack Obama would probably be the most powerful man now because he is the leader of the richest nation of the world, so he tops two such category money and power and he is popular too. Right now he enjoys a 80% popularity ratings for new president and that’s one of the highest if not the highest in the history of the US.

Next I would say a Warren Buffet or Bill Gates,Both are men who have topped the financial category. Money has always come with a certain amount of power .It has been known to topple government,sway judicial proceeding and influence policy in several countries. Can you imagine if either of these men were to invest in a third world country they would be treated as almost gods, they would be able to do just about anything they wanted and without penalties.

People have always been influenced by entertainment whether it is their favorite actress, musician or talk show host ..These people have often used their influence to once again influence policy and garner support for charity .Some actors have even gone onto be in government like Ronal Reagan and Arnold Schwarzenegger based on their popularity and influence. Similarly Oprah who many claim to be the queen of talk show can make or break a book by just featuring it on her talk show.
