Runescape Castle Wars

i have played the mini-game only for a few times and have mostly been in the winning team (luck me). but i had the same problem with the game, it takes too long and the reward is not much and that too is IF you win the game. since my membership time is limitted, only during the summer vacations, i barely give castle wars much time.

I let my son answer this as he knows more of runescape than i do.
I personally understand what you are saying but some people find castle wars a fun way to gain a bit of xp. The bad thing is the way anyone can enter. I think they should add an update for different categories of levels, as they hav with pest control. Although annoying everybody was a low level before and they can only handle so much punishment from higher players.
Perhaps getting the armour as a trophy is a small waste of time as it's not going to benefit you much.

i don't play castle wars anymore, purely for this reason...

i don't really care if i win or loose, that's not my problem as i throw the tickets away anyhow, but it gets me annoyed when lower lvls go after the flag knowing full well they will die and the other team will hide their own flag (messing up the game totally).

the only thing i can suggest, is to look on the events forum and see if there is a highish lvl clan that plays on non cw worlds.

other than that, tout for your own higher lvl clan to play cw a few hours a week.

Castle wars looks like a funny game to me! I'm not member yet (why do you think im here) But i heard its hard but not that hard is it? I love runescape! So jagex probably made that game good as well! Well see!

The sad thing is I enjoyed Castle Wars when I was a member last January. What I used to do would be to construct barricades in my tower, but I would stay in there myself to help protect, and also to set up barricades. I also got put on a lot of the low level teams, while the other team had the high levels and stuff. But, as long as I had barricades, the flag wasn't leaving without me dying first. I would always have a path for the other person, and I am a fast clicker, so I was a good asset. I did though sometimes go do some magic training there( Iban Staff all the way baby) and help kill some high levels when we needed to get their flag. I enjoy the game over all, but yes, it can get annoying. What I normally try to do is be one of the last people to enter the portal, so I know which team is good and which one isn't. I know this can be difficult, with their being a max number of people on a team, but there is a way around that...as long as nobody new shows up, you can just wait for someone from their team to leave, then you get in on their team. Works wonders. Anyway, I enjoyed this conversation.
