Starting '09 SMOKE-FREE, thanks to Chantix...

Well done, my hubby is on his 6th day of no smoking too, he went cold turkey though which is very brave of him and made him very ill. I smoke too and because hubby gave up felt it was only fair that I give it a shot, I mean he smoked a lot compared to me so I gave it a go. I have now gone 1 day 21 hours and 47 minutes, I have been fine but today started feeling unwell, bad chest and just feeling low in myself, I also have not been able to eat since I gave up. I have never used chantix so cannot tell you what the success rate is but I really hope that you succeed!!!

That's good. A toast to you. Good thing you cut down before quitting. Many people cut it off suddenly and then rebound onto it due to discomfort

Hi! I'm not a fan of smokers:) And I'm glad that you've decided to quit. You know what, there's absolutely no better way than just QUITTING - just stopping, just like that! My father was a smoker for 25 years but he was able to quit. He hasn't smoked for the past 10 years and we're very proud of him and we're very happy at the gesture of love because we begged him to stop when he was still smoking:) He didn't use any alternatives, no substitutes, no nicotine patch or whatever. He said he just decided to stop and there goes one day without smoke! Then there goes another and another and when he thought about smoking, he said to himself, "but I've already gone a week...I don't want to waste that".

Hi randomragdoll,and congratulations on your success with giving up smoking.I have been smoking too much and for too many years and would love to be able to give up, after several unsuccessful attempts, could you please tell me about "Chantix" as I am quite interested.:)
