Last day of 2008, anyone you wish to thank?

It's the last day of 2008 and within a few hours, it'll be a brand new beginning for everyone of us. It'll be the new 2009, new year, new hope, new things, and a new us. But in 2008, there are many things which we have done and possibly many people we are indebted to. Let us take this opportunity to say thank you to the people around us (we're anonymous, so it's okay).

First, my family. I want to thank them for the support they've given me during my downs. This year was a pretty bad year for me since I've lost a substantial amount of money in investment. But they are always there for me.

Second, my bosses who are being so patient with me. They are always there to guide me whenever I need their help even though they themselves are very busy.

Third, my friends who have given me a lot of their time and assistance. Whenever I need someone to assist me in something, I can just call one of them up and they will help me out.

Fourthly, my friends in online community CIAO and MyLot who have been very helpful in the discussions and also the product review ratings. Without them, my experience in online community would not be that fun and entertaining.

Fifthly, someone by the name of Randy Pausch. He was the person behind the book "Last Lecture" and a former professor of Carnegie Mellon. I've read his book before and it has really changed me in terms of life, and my direction in life. He has moved on now, but I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for sharing with us the content of the book and the lecture.

My list can go on and on and on because I realized that even though 2008 has not been very nice to me, the people who surrounded me in 2008 have helped me a lot. This is something which I will never forget.
