 I figured I'd better get on the ball and give my good wishes to everyone before it was either too late, or I pulled my usual ditz routine and just plain forgot.  Tonight I'm going to my sister in law's and we're going to play games and the rest besides me and my son are probably going to drink themselves stupid. Should be pretty entertaining...at least for me anyway. LOL! Tomorrow will be another lazy day...with me hogging the computer all day as usual. So what is everyone's plans for tonight and tomorrow?

My birthday is New Year's Eve. It was my day off. New Year's Day I had to work from midnight to 8 am. Not too bad! I would have preffered to stay home and be lazy, and lounge around with friends and family, but one does what one has to, to get by. At least it was a pretty productive night. I was paid well, and I won't have to worry about as many bills when I get laid off for a month.
Now that I am home, I am hogging the computer. LOL I will have to give it up soon because I have to work again tonight at midnight. Oh well, so be it..

| 8. fjaril (4543) | 1 year ago |  Hi lovely Katlady! The very best to you this new year 2009. Already off to a good start here as the weather has cooperated so far. A little slippery in places as the temperature bounces about but the sun shines and there is gravel on some streets and roads.
We had wonderful fireworks and the evidence is everywhere with small papers that fell on to everything, buildings and walkways and gardens and patios everywhere from the sky.. I imagne that there will be some cleanup now as the weather improves and more people venture out.
Hope your celebrations were very fine!

A friend of the family brought his son with him, and he was lighting off the bottle rockets. Well he held one in his hand thinking that the end was the part that was supposed to fly off instead of the whole thing. It almost exploded in his hand, but he let it go at the last possible second. THEN it almost went under my niece's car. Thankfully it didn't and no one got hurt. Talk about an adrenaline rush. LOL! Thanks so much hon. | |
