savak03 (2179) | 1 year ago | You think that's a long drive? Try driving across Texas East to West or vice versa. I used to think driving North to South through Georgia was long but Texas has got that beat all to pieces.

Irishfrndly65 (7406) | 1 year ago | http://www.mylot.com/w/di... that discussion on firefox!
I feed the wild birds and my feeders are decimated about every 2-3 days. I have entire flocks of wild finch, all kinds of sparrows, Cardinals, Blue Jays, Junco, Dove, Brownheaded Cowbirds, Bewick's Wren, some Tanenger's and real Bluebirds too and I get painted bunting pairs in the spring, so cute washing in the bird baths. Oh and Titmouse, Chickadees, and another that I cannot remember the name of, tehy look like a brown cardinal with eyeliner and they love berries. LOL! What the heck are those things called..oh yea Cedar Waxwings.
Ok, sorry I got carried away but I love watching my wee birdies enjoy the food and water out here. It's a hoot to see about 20 of them fighting over the birdbaths.

5. chulce (305) | 1 year ago | We moved to Texas because of the forestry area we now live in. It is beautiful. We also have a lot of wildlife in our area. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't get a chance to see deer, armadillos, squirrels, lots of different varieties of birds and more.
Those are quite interesting facts that you have found.:)

8. albert2412 (1429) | 1 year ago | Howdy. I live (and was born) close to Houston. Around here, it has been said that if you do not like the weather, just wait a little and the weather will change. Within the last several week we have had some snow (the first snow we have had in years) and 80 degree temperatures. We get cold and then w3e get hot again. At least it rarely freezes here.

9. kenzie45230 (2467) | 1 year ago | Unless you've driven there, you'd never realize how big it is. And what's great is that the traffic in Houston and Dallas/Ft. Worth, while it might be as much as other big cities moves so well. People are kind. They let each other in. I lived in Houston, an hour south of Houston, and about 30 minutes west of DFW. Every area was great. They did all insist that even though I'd lived in the state for over 10 years, that I was still a newbie and almost a stranger, but that's okay. They were still great folks.
