No fireworks last night due to a horrible wind storm. Did you see fireworks?

Yeah, I saw a few fireworks here and there around my town and in another town I had been in earlier in the night. I didn't fire off any myself though.

The weather was pretty bad last night here in Jersey too, so no fireworks, and come to think of it, you're right, I didn't see any on "Richard" Clark's show either. I did watch the ball drop though.

I had a good time last night though, it was kind of a quiet celebration with just a few friends. Some movies, a couple of wine coolers, real low key. No big party, and no stress, just a nice relaxing evening. It was nice.

Well we're not usually in front of the TV at midnight and we were supposed to go to a party but couldn't on account of the dogs. Often, we do get to watch some sensational fireworks, like in 07, which were GREAT from England, Australia and DC besides our own awsome display in El Paso TX --I can't remember last year.

Anyway, fireworks are legal in Puerto Rico and believe me it shows! Block parties everywhere, music and noise and it doesn't even seem like the economy is all that bad. My wife and I danced some and had a private dinner and drinks but couldn't bring ourselves to leave the dogs so we just watched other people's celebrations but were bothered by the explosions going off all around instead of enjoying them as usual. Oh well!

It was cold and windy here to where I live. They don't do the fireworks here and I didn't even hear any of the shooting that most of the residence participate in around here. I guess they found some other form of entertainment to bring in the New Year.
I didn't do anything special myself, it was to cold for me and I am trying to stay in good health. Now that I don't have any health insurance.

I was home last night but I didn't see any fireworks. There were a lot of firecrackers going off in our neighborhood though.

I did see a few fireworks in the background from Times Square, but it wasn't coming from downtown. I forgot where they said they were going off. But it only lasted a few seconds. There wasn't any shown at 12 on our local stations, either, which is very unusual. I thought all of those coming from overseas were beautiful! Oh, I did see those coming from the sides of the building.

But, did the ball actually DROP last night? I never saw it and my eyes were on the screen constantly when the Clintons mashed the ball. I thought they said the ball would stay at the top this year.

This is the first year we didn't do fireworks. My daughter's two youngest sons are usually here on New Year's Eve, but they went home. My husband didn't bring them back yesterday when he came home. They are growing up and doing their own things. The youngest chose to stay with Mom and she bought him fireworks and they got out a few times and shot them. That excites him. And he got to shoot them all and not share with the other kids.

That's a bit sad, not to have fireworks, but I just hope you still had a nice celebration without it. In our place, we were able to watch fireworks, although sometimes, some raindrops would fall, but it is still a blessing that it didn't really rain hard. And it's our first time to celebrate the new year in our home, coz usually we go to my parents' home or with my husband's siblings, but I enjoyed staying here at home while watching fireworks with my kids and hubby.

I was in bed before midnight and so drugged up that while I heard the idiots setting off fireworks, I didn't really feel the need to really wake up. I did wake up around 3, go to the bathroom, take another shot of Pramitine Mist and went back to sleep.

We had some fireworks go off in our neighborhood, but that was about it. We did not get out to see any. I do not like dealing with drunk drivers so we were not on the road.

There is usually fireworks all over the place here, no matter how cold. But we've had terrible wind here too, so besides a few we saw when I was picking my daughter up from work, there's wasn't much. No gunshots, no cannon blasts... we're rural so we get all kinds of things shooting off at midnight. But it seems that everyone stayed inside last night.
