 I once lost a lot of photographs which were on my computer when it crashed. I had backed up most of the pics on a CD, but to my horror, teh CD did not open as it had developed a scratch. I had lost all my memories for ever. It was then i decided that it will be a good idea to store my valuable photographs on the internet. That way it is available when i want it and will not vanish unless i delete it. I wonder how safe the photographs on the internet are. I have a Gmail account and I have uploaded all my photographs to Gmail photos and made different albums there. I can not only share the photographs with friends by inviting them to view them but also have it safe.

1.  mimico (3257) | 1 year ago |  Oh this is a really great idea. perhaps I will do the same. I plan to delete all my photos from 2002 so I saved it on separate cds. But maybe it won't work in the future. Does your google photo album retain the original size of your pictures? Perhaps I can email all my pictures to a new email account..

| 2. worldbestwriter2008 (1251) | 1 year ago |  yah..of course..i got several account for my online album..i guest majority have their own album..almost all website has its own saving type of album where user could store photos..album is one of the very important menu settings..why? because album are said to be back-ups if ever the original one will get deteriorated. so you still have a copy online and print it again...

| 5. yuna15 (1127) | 1 year ago |  Oh yeah I do. I have lots of them but I store all of it mostly to my multiply account since most of my relatives has a multiply account. I also have uploaded a collection of short videos of my baby girl there. By the way, if you have loads of pictures I suggest that you store it on an external hard drive where it's much safer. Having another back on a CD won't hurt. Multiple backups is most advisable. If you have time to upload to multiple hosting sites then you can do see coz you'll never know if their servers will give up after some time.
