My Daughter Turned 8 Years Old Yesterday (01-02-09)

Happy Birthday to your daughter! We usually have a small party at the house for our kids. We decided after the 5th birthday we would stop the yearly party and do something special with them. When my daughter turned 6 this year we took her, her brother and sister and two friends to chuck e cheese. Next year she wants to go bowling.

I'm happy to have read another story of another proud mom. I personally want to celebrate my children's birthdays (i have four of them) not only because i am happy to realize they are already growing, but also to celebrate the additional years added to my life.

YOu see, giving birth is just like putting your other foot in the grave. Having successfully delivered a child with my body still intact and alive, is a success no other person would feel other than moms.

For us when it is one of the kids birthday we just have the family over and have a cake and nibbles except for the big parties like an 18th, 21st etc etc then it is a big party with the works, my son just turned 18 last Nov so we had a huge big party for him in a hall and there was that many people you could hardly move in the place but it was a good night and everyone had a good time and all the young guy's behaved them self so we were very happy with that night!

When it's one of our kids birthdays (they are older now, but we still do the same things) we have the family over and the birthday person gets to pick where they want to eat and then we all play games at home and/or go swimming (for summer birthdays only)

Happy Birthday to your daughter,very cute.My grandaughter turned nine on the 2nd,she was the first baby of 2000 in our county.My daughter usually has a party for her and some classmates,this year will have hers and her sisters(who's is the 9th)party together.So she had a cake and little party at her dad's and she'll have another on Sunday.

Well,I have no child now, so I don't know how do I normally celebrate his/her birthday. But in my country, our tradition is to have a bowl of long-life noodles which means the best wishes to the people who eat them will live for more than 100 years, of course, we eat birthday cake, too.

Belated Happy Birthday to your daughter. Yeah, as a mom, we're very happy if we can give happiness to our kids. That's our weaknesses. Their happiness is also our happiness.

By the way, I usually celebrate my kids birthday by giving them a small party in our house. friends, neighbors are all invited. During my kids birthday,i usually have cake, ice cream, spaghetti, shanghai, hotdog with mallows. I also rent a kids table and chair, clowns that do some tricks and magic, they also serve as host. I also buy balloons and prepare some games and give away.

But this coming birthday of my daughter which is april, im planning to celebrate her birthday at Jollibee, so it can save more time...

Happy birthday to your darling daughter. Her pic shows her eyes are really sparkling with delight. I am sure she must have thoroughly enjoyed herself. It is realy great to see our children enjoy. My daughters are grown now and one is married, but when they were young, we always celebrated by inviting altheir friends over for a party. I alwyas organised games for them and had plenty of presents and back presents. I used to spend th whole day decorating the house an dmy wife lovely cakes and other delicacies. The children really had a ball and would not want the party to be over.

Sounds like you all had a really nice time. She looks real cute! I think it's nice to celibrate birthdays with just a few people. I've always had a better time doing that, and everybody can just be themselves. My son will be two in April, we will just have something small for him as he's very young yet. My husband is from Pittsburg, but we live in Ireland (I'm Irish), so all of his family are not here. I was an only child so I dont have a big family anyway. Some year I'd love us to go to see Ben's (my sons) cousins in the US, it would be great fun.
