Did you like listening to stories when you were a child?

ohh yes i love stories...i love adventure stories...thats why when i was young i love to watch the "hardy boys and hardy girls"

When I was a kid, my father used reading stories every night before I went to sleep, at that time, my biggest dream was one day I can read the book myself, so since I could read, I mean after I have learnt some words then I began reading myself, that is a habit of mine.
Story is my favorite. In the future, after I have children, I will do the same thing to them, before they go to sleep, I will read stories as my father done to me.

i love it especially when i'm sitting on that big white throne... and i would keep asking my mum to repeat the same story over and over. And she'll complain about the smell.. haha.

I used to make my mum read Osbourne books. There is this particular book that has little yellow rubber duckies in their collection of bedtime stories...

i think kids love hearing stories...

lovely question,i like this a lot friend,reallu i like to listen to stories when i was a child,but to say,i am not an adult as i am only 16 years old here..my grandma is the person who says stories to me,and i admire it..

i like to listen to the angels and fairy stories,frankly to say,still,i admire and read fairy tales...i love this and i always imagine that i could have some magical powers like the fairy and angels..all likes it?(i hope)..

i also enjoy listening to ghost stories and also to the love stories,nowadays,i like novels and horror stories,stories have a great impact on my life till today and i specially devote time to read stories always apart from my home works from the schools about the projects...

I loved listening to war stories told to us by my mother and father. They were both in their teens during the 2nd World War and hearing them say about their experiences then is so amazing. They both ran errands for the Japanese soldiers because their houses were very near the garrisons. What i loved most is the part wherein they said that they would jump with joy whenever a Japanese plane crashes down after being hit by an American plane and pretend not to enjoy it when there are Japanese soldiers around. But it was a horrific experience for them and though i enjoy the stories, i don't want to experience them myself.

I didn't really enjoy being read to as I preffered to read the books myself. I was quite a good reader as a child and tended to be ahead of my age group so maybe it was a good thing that I didn't get read to!

My parents never read me a stories at night when I was younger. I guess that's not really common for Filipinos. But I love to watch children stories. Cinderella, Snow White and the sort. They are all fun and exciting to watch. But maybe, when I get my children in the future, I guess, I would love to read them good stories that my parents haven't done to me.=)

Hey friend as u love when your mother use to tell stories while you are child,in the same way i too use to love when i was a child.I use to listen stories not only from my mum also from my grandma and grandfather. I use to listen the stories which were really happened in life. Real incident stories.

Yea i still enjoy it. Some times my mom read me articles from a bengali ( my mother tongue which i dont know to read ) and i enjoy it a lot.
There are a lot of famous bengali wirters who have written some wonderful stories, artickles,poems anecdotes and its a shame i cant read it.
Though iam glad this gives me the oppurtunity to hear stories from my mum. Its all type of stories... detective, adventure, fairy tales etc.
Its those moments which i will cherish all my life.

I don't remember my mom read me stories when I was child. Both of my parents were so busy with their works so no time for reading stories for us.

Now that I have my own kids, I do read stories for them sometimes though they don't usually request for it, maybe because they are already exposed to several shows on TV and are tired already, they even sometimes fall asleep while the TV set is still on.
