CNN Breaking News Obama's Appoinment Gov Bill Richardson Steps down

found the story on yahoo news. It did not go into a lot of deal. I will do some more searching and see what exactly they are investigating about him and why.

Ya I could not find it at breaking news at CNN but was listening to the news on CNN when it broke,then I turned to Fox they was breaking the story as well.
Gov Bill Richardson I read about a couple weeks ago he has been under federal investigation on the take making public contract deal much the same as Gov Blogo of Illinois.
Gov Bill Richardson step down from the Obama appointment and say's he is innocent of what he is being investgated for in New Mexico.
Appears the Obama honeymoon has before it even got start some dammed bumpy roads.

looks like more pay to play scandels. Hopefully we start catching enough of these dirty politicans that they stop or at least slow down on this pratice.

Yup, it's another "pay to play" scheme. Although, what the press is not reporting is that the time frame of the "King Bill" (that's what we New Mexicans call Richardson) scheme corresponds with the same "pay to play" action that landed our former state treasurers, M. Montoya & R. Vigil, behind bars. It also happens to correspond with the firing of former Federal Attorney David Iglesias. I'm sure that you all remember Iglesias, right? He is the Democrat U.S. Attorney who was terminated after refusing to investigate politically motivated shenanigans in New Mexico, and who alleged that the Bush Administration fired him because he was a Democrat? Of course, the fact that Iglesias refused to do his job when ordered to investigate illegal "pay to play" schemes had nothing to do with his firing, right???

Don't expect King Bill to get much help staying above the fray here in NM. Even the Dem's are sick to death of this tyrannical, self-serving fascist! Richardson's Lt. Governor, Diane Denish, already used the media once to embarrass Richardson into responsibility (the media coverage about Richardson's innappropriate touching of the Lt. Governor), I'm sure that she'll have no compunction to do everything in her power to help Richardson 'go down'. As it is she has quite an army of dedicated Dem's who were promised favor from her rise to Governorship. Now that King Bill plans to stay, there are a great many who would stand to do much better for themselves if King Bill goes 'away' with his buddies Montoya & Vigil.

Yup, King Bill is probably one sorry son-of-a-gun right about now. Not because he's a thieving, conniving, self-serving thug, but because he left a trail of crumbs that a Federal Prosecutor is now following.

Through self-serving, irresponsible, socialized idiocy King Bill has effectively turned a massive financial surplus in our state into a 1/2- 1 billion dollar deficit. May King Bill get his just deserves!!!

Michael Montoya - another former state treasurer.

Five relatives and friends of Robert Vigil, who were given 'nepotism' jobs in the treasurers office because of their relationship with Vigil.

Guy Riordan - King Bill's buddy who was implicated by Montoya as having 'handed off' $100k in a mens bathroom to Montoya. Riordon was appointed by King Bill to the Game Commission for a cushy annual salary.

Just so you know what an unbelievable crock of horse dung MSNBC is trying to pass off -- below is an excerpt from the article you cited. The only problem is that the basic premise is an out-and-out lie. The California company is being investigated as an adjunct to the investigation of none other than Bill Richardson. King Bill is the primary subject of the investigation -- not the company that provided him with the kickbacks.

I had studied up on gov Bill Richardson when Barack Obama appointed him to be secretary of commerce so I knew he was under a very serious investigation in Mew Mexico,being you live in New Mexico having a birds eye view I know you know what your talking about.
Barack Obama In my opinion appointed Richardson for his self benefit looking for ever lasting love with the Hispanic voters.
I have steadied Barack Obama's past and present for over one year and I know for a fact his every move is self serving.
Barack Obama was to make a statement over Bill Richardson stepping down I had to go in to town to do some shopping so I have not heard what Barack Obama had to say about Bill Richardson stepping down but expect some crock and bull story.

Reading the 76 pages the FBI released the Obama adviser talking to Gov Blago with out question is Rahm Emanuel,the conversation was about getting the gov's wife Patti a high paying position,the Obama adviser said president-elect can do any thing he sets his mind to but he would wants as few finger prints on this as possible and none pointing back to him.

Tony Rezko a day after Gov Blago and his chief of staff was busted send word to Patrick Fitzgerald he wanted to re-open his talks with the FBI,this was granted to Tony Rezko and the next day the federal judge in Rezko case set aside his sentencing which was to happen Jan 6,2009 the sentencing date was set for indefinite so they have not defined a new sentencing date for Tony Rezko who is looking at life behind them cold steel bars.
Tony Rezko has nothing to loose and he holds the key to the corruption in Illinois he is a big player in the Chicago machine gang.

Before the supreme court tomorrow Jan 5,2009 is Phillip Berg case against Obama over him not being an American citizen,it is expected to be dismissed,in my opinion with all the s*** coming down the political pike I think the supreme court should review Phillip Burgs case and then call for Barack Obama vault birth certificate.
Again on Jan 9,2009 Phillip Berg is on the supreme court docket so have to wait to see what happens.
I do think a lot of big political hot dog's are going down in Illinois,two very big boy's can taken em all down from the mayor to president -elect namely Rod Blagoejvick and Tony Rezko they hold the key's that will unlock the door and looking in I see they either have a dammed thing to loose and I pray they do the right thing and not go down in the crap boat alone.
