| | I eat a handful of nuts a day. They are also feeling and it seems that I eat less, but it has helped me. Also one prune a day will suffice if you are having trouble using the restroom and no I do not like them either, but I can slide one down a day just to help. It really works. | | | | | | |

| | I eat a bowl of oatmeal evey morning and I make sure I eat a handful of nuts during the day usually like a trial mix with raisins mixed in with it. It's not hard once you establish the habit it just becomes part of your daily routine. Also I try to incorporate veggies high in fiber (broccoli, lettuce, carrots etc.) into my dinners. You'll be surprised at the variety you have with trying to increase fiber. Just takes a little time reading labels until you get used to it. Good Luck! | | | | | | |

| | Sadly, the best way is to eat what is natural. Anything, but meat. Fruits and veggies are high in fiber, meat has none. If you don't like regular oatmeal, try steel cut oat. They are a great source of fiber and they have a different texture that many who do not like regular oats usually like. They do take longer to cook, though. Beans and grains, like rice are good too, but try not to eat the white rice, because that is refined and part of the reason it is white is because they removed the outer part which is the fiber source. | | | | | | |

| | I responded to your other discussion about flaxseed. If you want more fiber in your diet besides using Metamucil, eat a couple tablespoons of ground flaxseed every day. I didn't put this in my response to your flaxseed discussion, but flaxseed can actually be used in place of butter or oil in baking recipes. The flaxseed I bought from Amazon had some recipes on the back of the back along with some info on how to bake with it. You could also try that if you wanted to incorporate more fiber into your diet. | | | | | | |
