Okay, so despite being a valuable employee, you got layed off and now you find yourself thinking in the back of your mind that there were others that should have gone before you. You were always on time, had the best record of sales or savings for the company, you were the top dog, whatever, there's always a reason you should not have gotten the axe!

Get Over It!!!!

You got laid off and there's no going back unless the company recovers so let it go!

Now it's time to maximize the experience and good references that job has given you. Take these and keep your positive mental attitude and start looking for the next place that needs you. Sure, it's a blow to your ego and now your world is all messed up but dwelling on it is not going to make things better!

In fact, dwelling on your recent fall can impact you negatively by affecting your demeanor and prospective employers will see this!

I know, it's hard to let go of these things but consider this. At the last company I worked for, I was the only manager out of fourteen who consistently got bonuses every quarter from profit sharing. I was touted to the others at meetings as the one to watch and talk to to improve their stats. I was also the highest paid which meant when the company got into trouble, I was the first one of the good guys out the door after the lessor performers were canned. BUT despite all these positive attributes, I was let go. Can't change that.

Time to dust ourselves off and cowboy up!

What do you say?

These are very very hard times all across the globe, & things will get far worse . However in harsh times there is always the opportunity to try new things & to make the statement that you will find work that pays to support your family

You are absolutely right, things are tough all over the world and we will see worse before it gets better. Your positive attitude though is what will get you through and make you a better person in these tough times! Keep it up!:)
