Pressure! | | Oh my goodness. As I mentioned a little while back, Orble offered me a domain for my blog (not massively difficult to get, but I'm still pretty proud of that!) and it all went live yesterday. I fiddled around with it and it's running now.
The thing is, I had a look at the stats. Everything has doubled or tripled: hits, visitors, readers and so on. Whereas the old one was just a bit of blogging fun, it suddenly feels like I have to be all clever and funny, profound and wise, since there's such a major change in traffic. OK, so in real terms it's not that big a change, but it's still scary as hell.
I feel like I should be better at this than I am. Any long-term bloggers have any thoughts on a way to avoid the pressure blocking me from writing something interesting, so I don't screw it up before I've even really started?

SpikeTheLobster (803) | 11 months ago | They've been really communicative with me: had two or three emails each day while the transfer to the domain went on. Maybe it's different when they're offering instead of being asked, or maybe I'm just lucky.
As for content, I'll manage. It's just scary and difficult to produce something interesting when I can almost guarantee someone else has already written something similar - that's the downside of visiting other blogs. So much has already been covered. Ho hum.
For the moment, I'm going to concentrate on my other one which, since it's more personal, is easier. Something'll pop into my head before too long.
