Eating Chicken Drumsticks - a question  

Neither, I actuall use a fork to take the meat off of the bone to eat it.

I hold mine just the opposite of you, and I agree, to try to change it would make me goofy. I do not get drumsticks often anymore, though, so it is a bit of a moot point. I can just imagine, though, trying to change it.

I hardly ever eat chicken drumsticks anymore. I like white meat on a chicken. When I eat them, I hold mine with the right hand and the fat meaty part pointing left or right of me, but I make sure to get the meat.

ever since i was a kid i always got the drumstick part..up to now..and now that i think about it,ive always held it in my right hand..ill try it the other way and see if i could still eat it..lol

Umm...it depends on what dish...if the drumsticks are in curry or gravy, then I would use a fork and knife. If it's fried chicken, then I would hold the skinny part in my right hand, and tearing the flesh bit by bit, and putting into my mouth. It's only until there's no more flesh to tear, then I will start gnawing on the bones!

Umm, let me think ..... I hold the skinny bit in my right hand with the fat meat part pointing to the left. I don't eat them often but next time I do I'll be sure to try it the other way round - shake things up a bit!

I'm right handed. I hold the drumstick by the skinny part, the fat part goes to the left.

I had a drumstick the other day which was skinny all the way around. I thought this was unusual until I remembered that there is a farm way down in Kentucky that has 3 legged chickens. You might think that a 3 legged chicken was unique, but not so. Its just that a 3 legged chicken can run so fast very few of them ever get caught, and that's the reason we don't get very many drum sticks with skin all way around.
