Kids need booster seats in car until 4 ft 9 inches  

I live in Maine and the law here states the children have to be eighty pounds, or eight years old. If they're not yet eighty pounds when they're eight, they have to stay in the seat. My oldest son just turned nine and he's still in the seat because he's only 64 lbs. (yes, he's a little guy), but he's getting tall. The same will probably be true for all of my kids (I have two others) because they're all slender.

Good question and I have no idea. I cannot WAIT to be rid of those stupid booster seats. Spencer's out of his because he has reached the height but Duncan is still in his.

I'm guessing as an adult they can't force you to sit in a booster seat; that would just be insulting. Kids need to be protected though.
