Guys with long hair?Why not?

I just don't like the look of long hair on a man, bit of a turn-off actually. I love it when my husband has just had his hair short and it is shaved up the back.

I like to grow my hair long, because it is so wavy that my hair looks stupid when short. A lot of girlfriends way back have tried to tell me to cut this off, and I did only to have it grow back within even a few months. This went on until they eventually got tired and let me have my way. Lol.

I know most girls are turned off by the sight of a guy with long hair, but hell, I don't care.:P

I really don't have any idea about why there is a problem for guys with long hair. Sopme of them look really good with long hair but there are some who don't also.

Well when i had my first girlfriend, my hair was all the way down just enough to cover my neck. When i had my second, my hair was long all the way down to the back of my shoulders. My third, Still down at the back of my shoulders. Then all the way from my 4th to 5th girlfriend, i've grown my hair long. In between relationships, my hair was cut short. Sometimes shaven. Those were the times where i couldn't get or find myself a girlfriend. It means it doesn't matter whether my hair is long or short, ladies will still love me. Right now i'm clean cut. I got tired of long hair.. and yeah, i'm single again.

I don't understand why people should live by standards of others... If a guy wants to grow his hair long, regardless of if someone else finds it "turn-off" to them, he should be able to grow his hair long... It's not a decision of life or death, it's a long hair... If you don't like it, don't look at him... I do understand if it's a health issue or safety issue... But if it's a health or safety issue, then the rule shouldn't apply to men only... If a guy is a cook, then yes, either trim your hair short or wear a net or something... Nobody likes to find a hair in their food, none that I know of anyway... It would be the same for a women cook... If a person works around open flame alot, it might be a safety issue, like getting your hair caught on fire... Again, it's for both men & women... Just for sake of growing hair, it's not a matter of public debate... It's a personal choice... Let's learn to respect it even if we don't agree with it or like it... Again, I don't believe having a long hair is not a life or death issue, or even a moral issue... If I can cut my hair & keep it short to save someone's life & keep him/her alive, then great... I'd do it in a heart beat... Just because somebody doesn't like a long hair on a guy? Well, too bad...

Hmm.. perhapes it had been ingrained in all of us since young that girls have long hair and guys have short hair? It had been part of the human culture ever since civilizations. And in actual fact, it also depends on one's race, religion and culture too.

In the past, Chinese guys has long hair that is plaited and that is considered to be a sign of muscularity. However, as times progressed, the plaits have then given way to short hair. In Singapore, long and short hair in a guy is pretty much common. However, once a guy steps out into the working world, he is expected to keep short hair as it shows a clean cut image that others can trust and believe in.

Having long hair in Singapore in the past is considered to be a sign of the secret society. Thank goodness the gangs in Singapore had been wiped out in the 80s and there is no longer a stigma attached to guys having long hair here.

I have also seen for myself that in Malaysia Kampungs, 99% of the guys there usually sport long hair there. As to them it is considered cool. Ultimately, it boils down to one's place of upbringing, the morals and values imparted to us by our parents, our race and religions that sets our mindsets as we grow older.

Hopefully, this helps! To me, long hair in a guy is acceptable, but of course that is also due to my own upbringing whereby my dad do sport long hair! Lol. Take care and happy mylotting! And of course, if your boyfriend's friend is working with machineries, then it is much wiser to be keeping short hair rather than long ones as one will never know when your hair might get caught in the machineries!

some guys looks good in long hair.. but that's just on tv/movies. in person, they look really messy & stinky.

generally i prefer guys with clean cut hairdo.

It doesnt matter if a guy has long hair. It matter what they can do. Maybe the company says long hair is bad because hes doing machinery and his hair got get stuck and he could get hurt. Hair doesnt mean masculinity to me, it just look like lazy to cut hair thing.

Long hair with guys? What's wrong with that! I have long hair myself and i know lots of people with long hair! It's not that special anymore! I can get some people think its strange in a sterile area but dont't they have those little nice hair nets for that:P Problem solved right?!

I don't mind long hair on a guy...long, black, greasy hair is HOT. But it can't be longer than my hair...or nicer than my hair...because I don't need that competition in my life...ha ha
