My experience with Emusic | | I recently acqired some free downloads for Emusic. I found it the worst experience ever!! Their selection sucks!! Alot of their songs are covers, (not the original artists). You have to search by artist, can't search by song. And you have to look by album only, then search the album to find the song. What a pain it was just to use up my free downloads. I will never use them again.

You don't need Digital Rights licenses, and you can use the music on as many devices as you want. You CAN search by song ("track"), as well as composer, or group, or album, and while I found the search results a little too comprehensive, they were very satisfactory. I always recommend emusic, and if I ever get a good paying job, I'll probably renew my membership.
