Local man sues Hooters, claims gender bias  

wow i had to respond to this. this is so stupid. it's called hooter girls for a reason. I am sure it's one of the many things they are known for beside their food. I mean what did that guy expect he was going to wear orange shirt and a tight shirt. I am sure there's nothing in their policy about a guy being a food server. I am sure they have requirements abut girls. I have been on the hooter's girl restaurant.

What kind of baloney is this? Who in their right mind would want that job if they were not female? Tips? Who's going to tip a guy at Hooters? not me, that's for sure

that is so stupid.. it would make sense if it was a flat chested girl suing but a guy?!? is he gonna sue the strip clubs too?? and seriously what kind of guy wants to dress up like a hooters girl anyways?!? or be a waiter even?!?! such an obviously ploy for easy money

Okay girls, let's all go and apply to be part of the Chippendale All Male Revue and sue them for not hiring female dancers.

Maybe the problem with having businesses that cater to a specific group (like Hooters, Chippendales, etc.) is that it re-opens the door for a proliferation of intended discrimination in areas like race, sexuality, financial status, etc.). Indeed, such clubs do exist already (think country clubs and freemason clubs) and have for centuries). On the other hand, I'd enjoy the novelty of going to a club where the waiters and/or performers are handsome, scantily clad, hunky men....

In the case of the man wanting to work at Hooters Girls...maybe he isn't handsome and sexy enough to get a job at Hooters. Besides, he probably really wants to be a waiter AND be around all those guaranteed supply of sexy women....Penny

I say, if Nikolai Grushevski wants to wear the uniform, then by all means, give him a job. Something tells me he won't be very happy in a tied off t-shirt and hot pants.

I live in a small town, not quite the size of Corpus Christi...about 3/4. We are getting a Hooters and the poor (as a way of being not a financial status) white pious Republicans around town are throwing A FIT! I think fit worthy of the modifier "conniption," actually. They are about to come apart at the seams, writing hate mail to the editors of the newspapers. Being an extreme liberal (if there is such a thing) I find the whole thing kind of funny. Pathetic and insane, but funny.

He's not an idiot he just sees big dollar signs. Face as long as I have known hooters to exsist I knew the waiters were females dressed in very little. Shakes Head. I think this is just a ploy to line his pocket with a lot of money so that he doesn't really have to do the job it has nothing to do with being discriminated against. people like him need smacked upside the head and then tasered ... Sorry I'm kinda cranky tonight. But hey how have you been doing!!!

I think they should call his bluff. Put him in those tight outfits ( which they can make him wear as they're "company uniform" for servers )& make him serve a while. When he gets ridiculed & picked on by the other guys he'll shut up & disappear. I seriously doubt he'd find the tips worth it.

maybe if they had men working there......nah I still wouldnt go because they would probably just degrade the male employee too
