I hated wearing glasses as a child and ever since the age of 10 my eyes started deteriating so I had to wear them. At first I only really used them at school during lessons so I could see the board but as the years went on my eyes got more and more dependant on them and I found I had to wear them all the time.

Remember when I used to wear them out sometimes i'd get an itchy eye or something and i'd go sort it out but in process forgetting about my glasses and knocking them off my nose. This became a regular thing until I eventually began to get use to them.

The big change came when I had just started college. No longer did I want to wear glasses especially in the summer as the bridge which sits on my nose used to rub and cause a great deal of discomfort. Because of this and the fact I was a little vain too I discussed with my optician the option of switching to contact lenses.

The first time I put my lenses in I was amazed. Being able to see without the use of a horrible instrument strapped to my face was brilliant. Ever since then I have worn contact lenses. Occasionally I wear my glasses but only round the house.
