She won't leave it on...parenting advice please!

LMAO....I am so sorry to laugh, but my daughter just turned 12 mos and I am concerned about this as well since she is learning how to tear at the tape strips.

I was terrible about keeping my diaper on as well as my mother was the queen of photographs when I was younger.

My neighbor next door just had another girl and her 2 yr old will not keep on her diaper as well. I did not have this problem with my son, so I hope I dont come across this problem.

sorry I cant help, but it is a phase they seem to go through.

My daughter has discovered the same thing, so I have had to resort to putting a length of stick tape all the way around. I don't mind so much during the day because we are having a bit of a heat wave at the moment (40celcius) so it's way too hot for a nappy. I've just been putting one on here and bedtime with the tape around her waist on the nappy. She is starting to sit on the potty in the toilet doorway when I go - but she is too young to understand why, she just copies. She's 14 months old so it's the best time to start on the potty, even though she won't pee it makes it easier to get them to sit on it early.

Ahhh, the nekked stage! I went through it with all four of my kids but my oldest...my only son...was the worst. He used to love taking his clothes off when he was outside and I can still see myself chasing him down the street stark naked! I don't think 13 months is too early to introduce the concept of using the potty and, since your daughter's already undressed for the job, try getting her interested in sitting on a potty chair for a little bit at a time. She may take to it if she's not pushed too hard. In the meantime, my ex suggested duct tape once.

I know people who been through this they usually just put the pamper on backwards and keep pants on them, it's harder to take off the pants and after awhile she should forget about trying to take the pamper off. It probably would not hurt to try and potty train her right now I know of children who is potty trained at 12 months.

Put onsies on her 24/7. Under cloths, pjs, etc. The snaps between the legs make it almost impossible to get off until their a little older and their large and fine motor skills are more honed in. My friend had to keep her daughter in onsies until she was two and a half because of this but it really worked. My daughter at that age would take her diaper off when she pooped. After a couple of messes, she wore pants/shorts all the time to break the bad habit. Now my 2 year old is doing it but she is not quite ready for the potty.

Welcome to mother hood. By her taking her diaper off she is ready for potty training. Get her a potty chair and sit it in the bathroom next to the toilet and everytime you go potty take her with you. Make it fun for her to learn . Do the potty song..........Mommy's using the big potty and dance around a little for her .....ask her is she wants to do potty dance with you, if yes then tell her she has to sit on little potty while you sit on big potty. Let her know she has to pee pee in little potty . Sounds silly but hey.... who is gonna know or see you acting silly for your daughter? After she gets off of the potty do the potty dance using her name .......... ________ just used the potty _________ just used the potty .........yayy yayyyy . Make it fun for her . And during the times you do need a diaper on her try keeping pants on her where it makes harder for her to get to the diaper .......Hope this helped you.

Phew! I thought I was the only one going through this...not really. My baby turned a year on Christmas day and it was just recently that he'd be standing up in his crib and looks over to me...with a handsome smile. Next thing I hear is a slow "riiip" and he's grinning. What's this? He's bare nudity! EEEEKKKK! Then he gets all cranky when I slap a diaper on that cute bottom of his. Geeze...what a child.

No, I didn't think about potty training, it's just a stage they're going through right now. Why? I think it's because it's something they've discovered they have control of. My baby loves to eat with a baby fork now, though he really hits and misses his food all the time, it's the growing learning process they are loving.

Just pray they don't take off the diaper when it's full of

well i'm not a mother but i have a sister that do the same thing and what my mother does is let her run around naked..it's a phase is what my grandmother and mother tell me and it will pass.

Yes she is too young to start potty training! My oldest two (so far #3 hasn't tried it yet) did. Shoot she's 3 and I'm working on trying to keep her clothes on her since she's pt*LOL*

Depending on where you live I would suggest.......
*keeping dd in a sleeper & saftey pin the zipper if ya have too
*wear a onsie + a pair of pants over it
*safety pin her top to her pants (depending on how determined they are they can just keep pulling and pulling til they either make a hole in the garments or the pin gives up) it worked with my oldest but no with my middle.

Some people have suggested duct tape to reinforce the tabs on the diaper; I've never tried this though.

Otherwise if you can't figure a way to keep her dressed you may have to keep a stock pile of rags around (I used old beat up bath towels). My oldest would run naked and then stand in front of the tv and then pee on the floor! EWWWW! So good to be prepared for such messes.

Babies are getting smarter everyday and this is proven in your baby. I think the manufacturers of diapers should now start to modify diapers to cater for these new age babies who have outsmart their invention. Can you imagine that a 13 months old baby is able to remove the diaper! That is in my wildest dream as my babies never thought of it then. I think you are over feeding her brain with good food. So she is smart before her time.
