How Well Do You Listen?  | |  When your friend comes to you with a problem, not really needing anything more than an ear, how well do you listen?
My best friend will occassionally give me a call just because she needs to talk. She doesn't reaaly want my advice, just for me to listen to her. I have, on many occassions sat up until 2 or 3 in the morning, just listening to her. She has done the same for me. I think that when it comes to listening to others, I do a good job because I have the ability to pay attention and not offer advice unless I am asked. I am not the tyoe who just pretends to listen and make comments here and there so the speaker thinks I am listening when I am not. I feel that the discussion may come up later, and at that point, avice may be needed, so I try to actually listen. What about you?

| | 2.  dodo19 (4351) | 1 year ago |  Every time someone needs to talk to someone, I do my best to listen as best as I could, because I know that they need someone to talk to, and that they would appreciate someone, who actually pays as much attention as she can. After all, I know they would do the same for me. I try to be there for anyone, who needs a friend or something, and do whatever I can to fulfill that.

| | | 3. pamfloyd51 (92) | 1 year ago | i try to be a good listner, but i have a problem. i am 57 yrs old & i cannot seem to listen to anyone without giving them advice. maybe it's because of my age? i feel like God sends people to me because I always pray for them. i know i will be held accountable for what i say to them. i try to use wisdom, because sometimes it is better not to say anything to them, just listen. | |
