Who would win in a fight: Superman or Batman?

I have given this some considerable thought kkknrd and am sorry to say that if there were a fight between Superman and Batman, Chuck Norris would win!

In this case here, my vote will go to superman.. lol=D Thouhg batman has got wings, but he cant fly.. lol=D The only good thing about him is his suit, as well as his technologies.. hehe^_^

BUt superman relies none of that.. His keen sense of things makes him superior than batman.. lol=D Plus, in terms of 'air time' and speed, superman beats batman for sure.. hehe

Batman is my choice because, well... did you know that Batman has actually beaten Superman on at least three occasions, albeit after Superman has been weakened or compromised severely (in Batman: Hush, Superman is under Poison Ivy's influence, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, sees him weakened by detonating a nuclear bomb and in Batman: The Dark Knight Strikes Back, he is not in sound mind or shape). But an unfit Superman should still be able to wipe the floor with Batman. But Batman, with his intelligence, strategy and resources, would break Superman every time. It's the extra mile that he is willing to go to get the job done. And if it requires hurling Lois Lane from a building to distract Superman from the fight then that is what Batman will do.

In my opinion, I think it's Batman because like Spider-man, he is intellectually superior to Superman and would probably be able to develop a Kryptonite based weapon that would non-lethally defeat Superman, of course he would have to find a way to hit Sups with the weapon before he was taken out but if he had enough time to plan the attack I think Bruce could find a way to do this. I find it interesting that Superman appears to be winning both this debate and the one against Spider-man although the Spiderman one is a closer call because it doesn't ask who would win a fight but rather who is a better Superhero. These are I think the three most popular Superheroes which is why they each have more movies than any other hero and in fact I don't know of any other character from either comic book company that has appeared in more than two movies including Robin who I think only appeared with Batman in the movie that features both of their names in the title. My local comic book store has the symbols of Batman, Spider-man, and Superman on their front window, and only those three, with the exception of posters that are occasionally changed. Within the marvel Universe there are many questions that ask who would win and these questions are actually answered. I have a few trading cards that detail the answers. Spider-man vs. Wolverine, Wolverine won. Wolverine vs. Hulk, Hulk won but Wolverine had he victory of survival. and several others. The debates regarding the DC Superheroes never get answered by their creators. Thus the debate rages on. As it always will.

After weighing this carefully, I have to concede that Superman is the more powerful of the two, and yes, they are both fighting for good. But should one of them get a knot in his panties, so to speak. I'm afraid Superman could demolish our favorite rodent. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong, he looks like a flying rodent.

True enough he is a handsome devil, that Batman, but I fear it will take more than blowing dust from his Bat Mobile to stop Superman, who can leap from tall buildings with a single bound, plus he has special powers, like super strength. He could probably break his Bat nose with a tap that became a snap.

Superman is the one for me. He can fly through space, he's like a living space craft, who knew? Plus he is romantic, and handsome, ask Lois Lane.

What a romantic super-hero, Lois and Kent! He's real, he's an alien for all intents and purposes but he's some form of man. Now, Batman is still handsome but he seems so fickle, Bat woman or Cat woman, decisions, decisions.

Recap: Superman has super powers from another planet, but can socially adapt. He is a romantic persona, and I like his outfit better, frankly.

In a fair fight, who wins - Batman or Superman - begs the question: what exactly is a fair fight?

I mean, come on, Superman is not even human, what with his being from Kryptonite and all. Faster than a speeding bullet, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, X-Ray vision, essentially indestructible. Unless there happens to be a little Kryptonite around outside of a lead shield.

I have to go back the the history of Aliens invading the Earth in 50's Science Fiction to solve this one, because basically, Superman is an alien invader. If he hadn't forgone the wealth obtainable had he joined forces with Lex Luther and fought for "Truth, Justice and the American Way," 50's Sci-Fi rules say some fatal flaw would have been found in him and humanity would have prevailed.

Come to think of it, the 50's version of "the American Way" is under so much attack now that his fighting for it may amount to a crime in the current politically-correct world.

In other words, Superman is now a threat which must be abolished. Enter Batman, the savior of humanity from a deranged alien invader trying to impose archaic ideals upon us. And Bruce Wayne is smart with unlimited financial resources, which we all know makes him the epitome of humanity.

So, even if he couldn't buy enough Kryptonite to do in the Man of Steel, he would find some fatal flaw in Superman's make-up, such as allergic reactions to piles of money, Lear jets, Bentleys, mansions and cruise-ship vacations. Or perhaps, the frequencies used by Blackberrys, I-Pods and Cell Phones would prove fatal to him. Or, being in the room with Gordon Gecko.

So, in the end, Batman, as the representative of modern humanity, against Superman, a hold-back of 50's mores, whips the Man of Steel.

I must admit that I am shocked to find that people are even spending their time debating this issue. I don't typically stoop to wasting my precious moments deliberating on various conspiracy theories, but I feel obligated to expose a plausible motive to justify this suspicious argument. Clearly, the victor in this case is Superman (you don't need to take my word for it; there are plenty of substantive articles on this thread). So, then why even speculate such a ridiculous question in the first place? I've cooked up a few hypotheses for anyone else whose keen insight was also agitated by such a fraudulent debate.

Batman since he can maneuver out of the way with his natural agility as well as grapple gun. He would also go on the offensive with some explosive Batarangs and mini-grenades.

A quick blast from his heat rays and Superman would destroy the Batarang and the grenades would explode but not even make a tear on his costume. Kal-El would begin to attempt another offensive but would suddenly find himself weakened by a green glow. Batman, who always researches all he can about his enemy, knew his enemies weakness before they began. And was prepared with a piece of kryptonite in a pouch on his belt, specially lined to contain the radiation.

Victory goes to Batman as he slips away as the spotlights try to find him to present him with the victory prize.

In order for Batman to win the Dark Knight must obtain some kryptonite (some say he already possesses it, I honestly do not know) but I do know without the kryptonite the fight would be quick and brutal. Next, Batman would have to lure Superman into a trap where he could execute his plan. As cool as his other gadgets and vehicles are they would not have any effect on the Man of Steel. For Superman it would not have to be so elaborate. Superman, if he went balls to the wall insane, would just pound Batman into oblivion. Batman's armored suit would provide little to no protection and being just human would be crushed by Superman vast array of powers.

In ending, if it turned into a chess match and Bruce Wayne could come into possession of the kryptonite then he would have a slight edge. Having said that not only would he need a master plan but a lot of luck and timing to pull a huge upset in defeating the heavily favored Superman. If just one part of Batman's plan went wrong and he was forced into a confrontation when he was not fully prepared and in complete control...it would a one-sided beat down for the caped crusader. Nuff' said.
