My answer is simple, I would still like to be me and to experience as an outsider looking in just to see how it really is and to see certain areas that I may be going wrong that because I am living them everyday I cannot see the wood from the tress if that makes sense. So tell me who would you like to be and why? Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi Ellie,
Well I think i'm with you on this one, if asked this a few years ago I would of answered a lot differently but with age comes been comfortable with ones self and I am now happy within myself, that's not to say I have the perfect life or am I perfect but deep inside and above all lifes troubles, I'm happy but it would be very interesting to step outside and look in and see what others see, this is a good discussion hun it's made me think.

Like having an out-of-body experience? I've never had one. People I know who have had were asleep and I've read about some where the people were on the operating table.
You sure do have a vivid imagination, Ellie.

By the way, I'd like to experience peering in on myself to discover what I really do in a day. It seems to me like I don't do much...or discount the value of it.

Hmmm, that is a good one, Ellie. I think there are many roles I would like to try. I'd like to be Oprah for a couple of weeks. Then, I'd like to be Hillary Clinton for a couple of weeks. I think I'd like to be an interior designer for awhile, that whole profession fascinates me. I'd like to live in Paris for a year and be "anyone" there just to experience it all. Then, I think I'd like to be a chef in Tuscany. Gosh, I could just go on and on with this one. Take care, and huggles back.

hi ellie, I would still like to be me, and like you see where the things I need to address rather than just leave alone, how at times I seem to be going wrong in my own life and the signs I miss (a lot) that would help me in my personal journey in life..I wouldn't want to be anyone else at all...Huggles littleowl

I'd like to be me, too! If I were someone else, I'd have to have their family, their home, their job ... no thanks! I'm happy with the things I already have. Maybe I could do with being a little less lazy and unmotivated ... but apart from that, I'm happy with the status quo!

Hi Ellie!
I've come back 3 times to answer this question as it is one of the best I've ever been ask. I never had a problem knowing who's life I would like to experience but I just wanted to sound half way intelligent when I responded! But since I can't think of anything better this 3rd time that I am here then I suppose I will just go with my very simple and easy answer.
I would not like to experience anyone's life except my own either! I am use to my life, I have my own problems to deal with that I attempt to work out each day and I certainly don't want to step into anyone elses shoes, even temporarily, and try to work on Their problems. I also would not want to change the relationships I have or have had and I wouldn't take any amount of money in the World to change Much in my life. I would like to change the sicknesses that my loved ones and I have, but other than that I wouldn't change a thing as it is still My life!
I would like to do like you mentioned though and stand on the outside looking in, so I could see what others see, (not that it would probably help), and try to figure out what I could do better, but then again if I did that, then I would not be me, living My life daily anymore as I would, knowing me, try to change the course of history and try to "fix" my errors!
Thanks for the great discussion and making me think! ;)

Hi Gel, Sorry I have been a bit unsocialable on myLot latelt haven't I? Can't believe there are two responses above yours I haven't even answered yet. It is my little mans 5th birthday tomorrow bless so I have been busy wrapping stuff and blowing up balloons LOL. Well as we are supposed to be so alike I guess I should have expected you to want to be you also LOL. Healing Huggles for you and your loved ones but I agree if you change one thing it changes the dynamics of everything else too which then in turn alters who we are eh! Huggles Ellie :D

Hi Ellie!!
Congratulations on your little mans big day tomorrow! And don't worry when you're soooo unsociable...I truly do understand completely! Take care you yourself and yours first and the rest can wait! ;)
Yes, I personally think if you could change the natural flow of things...by looking in at yourself and trying to change it then the dynamics will just not be what they are suppose to be as I think your life is pretty much planned out when if not before you're born and when you mess with that "divine" plan goodness knows how we would mess things up! Ahhhhhhh! World gone mad!! :D
Thanks for your kind words of healing to me and my loved ones! And make sure you & little man have a Great day tomorrow! ;)

Hi ellie,
This is very tough! LOL! but I love to play the game!
Maybe I will love to experience Mother Theresa's life, I know it's not easy but with a lot of good things she has done to a lot of people, I want to experience that!

I'd still be me. I wouldn't want anyone else to mother my children, not even for a moment, let alone a day. And that goes for my hubby as well. My life may not be perfect. But it is mine. I don't think I'd be comfortable walking in anyone elses shoes either. Good discussion!

Hi Ersmommy, I agree, I have terrible trouble getting comfortable shoes so to have to wear someone elses doesn't bear thinking about
. You must be such a loving mother and wife and I wouldn't want others being mum to my kids for a moment either. Huggles. Ellie :D

I think i would like to be my 15 year old son just to see the way his mind works and to see what issue are important to him and what worries him.
I would also like to spend a day as my 11 year old daughter just to see what makes her so driven to be so successful in her life.

It sounds like you need a film crew to follow you around for a day, so that you can watch yourself back in the evening and pick holes in your behaviour! Perhaps getting the Big Brother editing team involved would save time. They could just show you parts out of context and make you look like the world's worst friend / mother / employee etc all rolled into one twenty minute episode!
I'm kidding of course, and I do know what you mean about not seeing the wood for the trees. Sometimes I'd like to briefly stop time in order to take 24 hours in which to examine my life without all the everyday distractions going on.
In answer to your question though, I think I'd like to be someone who is successful in some of the areas I aspire to. I would have to be able to take their knowledge away with me though at the end of the day! Oh, and I'd have to be able to vet whoever was going to be me in my place for the day to ensure they were suitable :-)

Hi GreenMoo, Firstly apologies for being so late in responding, been a bit distracted from the Lot lately. I'm camera shy LOL so I don't think a camera crew would help!!!! Now someone stepping into my shoes is something I hadn't even considered but yes they would have to be vetted bigtime as they would be around my kids too for the day. Thank you for responding. I hope all is well with you in Portugual, the UK has been hit with some dogdy weather but it was fine where I am just enough snow for a snowball fight and then it melted LOL. Huggles. Ellie :D

I will like to be Jay Leno for a day, I will spend some quality time alone, take my cars and motorcycles, and take my wife to the show where she and Kevin can fight over me, I will change my guess list and invite all the Anaheim Angels team (baseball team) Kevin Specey and Tom Hanks and if I can Herrison Ford, for music I will get Juanes.

Hi ellie - I am happy to be myself - warts and all! I am still travelling on the road and still want to be a better person (I fail so many times) but I haven't given up trying. I read a few responses to your post and have to tell you that I did have an out of body experience whilst nearing the end of A 15 hour horrific labour giving birth to my third son. 15 hours of labour pains lasting 90 secs and only 30 secs before the next contraction. I nearly lost my mind. The doctor turned up to deliver the baby and he did give me an injection.
I remember that I was hovering over the doctor's shoulder and looked down at myself lying on the bed. I had so much love and sympathy for me and kept murmuring "Poor Cynthie, why don't they do something for her?" I was there for what seemed quite a while and I saw my son being born - rather, I saw the head of him before he emerged.
I don't know how I got back into my body but obviously I did and have lived to tell the tale! Blessings

Hi Cynthiann, I really do hope Nat posts a discussion about her experience as I am sure many have had in the past who would like to share but perhaps don't with people they know as such. Wow that must have been incredible, although painful for you at the time but not only to be able to feel your baby born but to witness his birth. Wonderful! Labour is one thing I have never experienced as all my children were born by GA Caesar so I go to sleep wake up and here is a baby. LOL. Huggles. Ellie :D

AT my age....I am with you. I would still like to be me. I love my family so much..love what I do ....even just love my home which isn't very fancy....but it's got all my stuff right here...I think the older you get...the more contentment sets in. I have no desire to be anyone else!

Wow, really good question and really difficult to answer. I guess I would definitely like to experience the life of a politician. You know, giving speeches and stuff. But I don't think I'll be able to cope with the pressure. So realistically, I probably would just want to experience the life of a millionaire. Probably Bill Gates. I would love to have super-fast internet in my office and do video-conferencing everyday.

Hi ellie,
I can't think of anyone's life I would like to experienced so I just have to be me as well, as I do like my life as it is most of the time unless hubby upsets me and to have my two cats next to me, that s all I care for the moment. Love and huggles.
