Why do we find it difficult to read the holy bible,but quick to read fashion mag

That is because the other mag. and books are more entertaining to most people. As a bible is not. I have tried reading the bible many times and each time I get very bored with it and put it down for months and sometimes years at a time. There isn't nothing exciting in a bible, other books and mag. have more exciting things in it. Things that make you get your curiousity going. I am reading a suspense novel right now. It is hard to put down because you just want to know what is going to happen next. A bible doesn't give you that excitement.

Well, for starters, the publishers of magazines know A LOT about engaging readers with page layout and ad placement. They know how to produce a product that energizes or at least stirs up their readers.

Snipits of info are easier to deal with as opposed to the overwhelming feeling our mind might feel over reading a larger text.

I think a lot of times people want something easy and where they don't really have to think. Magazines don't require much thought, where as the bible is intense reading. I know for me, my reading habits really depend on my mood. I am currently reading tbe bible, but I can't do it every day.

Because perhaps the person may not believe in the bible. It depends on the person. Obviously a person may think that the magazine has more intresting things in it.
