2. kezabelle (2671) | 1 year ago | My only suggestion would be to wait, if he cant do it he cant do it nothing you do will make him. No way would i be trying to make my child use the toilet until they are ready both my girls were about 2 and a half years old when we potty trained them they were ready and wanted to do it then so it was nice and simply no stress very few accidents and in my opinion thats the way any learning should be done simply and when they are ready with as little stress as possible in my experience children learn quicker and faster that way good luck

3. Sillychick (2133) | 1 year ago | Wait a while longer. 13 months is very early for potty training. You will know when he is ready when he starts showing interest in using the potty, tells you when he has to go, can pull his pants up and down on his own, and is uncomfortable in a dirty diaper. Pushing before he is ready will only make it harder on both of you.

4. katsmeow1213 (4932) | 12 months ago | I agree with the others. 13 months is extremely early to begin potty training. I started trying to potty train my toddler when he was 18 months, and he just wasn't ready, so wouldn't go. So I gave up, now a year later he's doing much better, and within just a few days he's already telling me anytime he has to go potty. You can't force a kid to be potty trained when they aren't ready.

5. miccant (127) | 12 months ago | I have found with my kids that they will let you know when it is time. When the child comes to you and tells you that they went in the diaper then it is time to start the training. Always go forward and never backwards. All kids work at their own speed no matter how hard you push them. Best of luck with it.

gemini13 (253) | 12 months ago | i guess we really are not ready..for pooping in the potty seat..and we haven't come to the stage where he can tell me..that he wants to pee or poop..but atleast he gives me some signs that he has finished his poop..i just wanna go slow and steady...i care a damn what people say...yes it is really very early ..am gonna wait for my baby to be comfortable and to be able to do it by himself..i don't wanna force him..

miccant (127) | 12 months ago | good choice. They will let you know. The docs said when I see my little squat or something like that to take them to the potty but I dont think that is good. You dont want to scare them or discourage in anyway. It will all come in time and then life will be a little easier. Follow your heart on it
