| | There is something call Epsom salt. If you soak your feet in some warm water for about 30 mins with the epsom salt that it should help you. It is good for swelling and some other things as well. | | | | | | |

| | Well I guess it would depend on what is causing it! Try soaking your feet in cold water for half an hour (but not too cold, just as it comes out of the tap is okay!) and see if this makes any difference. If not, try soaking them in WARM water (as I said, it depends on what's causing it.) Also, try wrapping a bandage around them overnight, or surgical stockings. | | | | | | |

| | Keep your feet raised when just sitting around the house too. Often sitting long periods in a desk chair (or similar) makes the fluids build up in our lower extremities. Surgical stockings can be found at pharmacies. Sometimes just called Medical stockings. They help prevent varicose veins, and can also help prevent swelling. Available in Knee-high, thigh-high and pantyhose styles. You should also see a doctor. Sometimes swelling of the feet can be a sign of other things including (but not limited to) heart problems, diabetes and even liver or other digestive problems. | | | | | | |

| | You probably should see your Doctor. Swollen feet and ankles can be the result of serious health issues. It can be because of kidney, heart or the liver. My grandmother's feet were often swollen because of her heart and high blood pressure. so if your feet have been swollen for some time you need to get it checked out. i don't think you should mess around waiting for a home remedy. | | | | | | |

| | I agree. You need to see a doctor. Do you have high blood pressure? My doctor put me on a blood pressure pill that is also a diuretic. The diuretic helps in elimination of excess fluid. Granted, you are running to the restroom a lot but it really is worth it for the comfort of not having swollen feet. If you do not have high blood pressure, diuretics can be given alone, just as a plain diuretic pill to help with elimination of excess fluid. Also, watch your salt intake. Salt naturally makes a body retain fluid. As others have stated, diabetes, kidney disease and heart disease (congestive heart failure) can all cause the feet to swell or retain fluid. My feet/ankles also swell/get puffy in the summer when the weather is hotter and when I stand on my feet for prolonged periods of time. Bottom line is get a professional opinion. See a doctor. In a healthy person, swelling is not that common. Better to be safe than sorry. Good luck. | | | |

| | First of all do you know why your feet are swelling ? Are you pregnant ? Have you seen your doctor ? Some temporary relief may come from soaking your feet in some warm water with Epsom Salt added . You might also want to try a pair of Diabetic socks . You can get these from a medical suppy store or your local pharmacy may have them . If you are not pregnant , I would make an appt with your doctor , to see why you have swollen feet. | | Swelling of the feet has a lot of causes. We have what we called as dependent edema which is the build up of fluid in the lower extremities due to prolonged standing, or even due to overweight. The swelling may be due to other diseases such as in the liver, kidney or heart. I advice you to see a doctor to find out whether it is only dependent then you can only put a pillow under your leg to minimize it, or may be you need to drink diuretics in order to urinate the excess fluids. hope this helps | | | | | | |
