Am I the only one still doing Christmas thankyou notes?

i've been done with my christmas thank you cards mainly because i didn't receive much this year. i went on vacation for christmas, so i didn't participate in all the gift exchanges i did the previous year. i also told people that they don't have to get me anything. hopefully you will finish yours soon. i know it can be hard to finish especially if you're working and if you have children, but i'm sure once you finish you're thank you note you will feel a lot better:)

We did not recieve gifts from anyone aside from each other and hubby's parents. So no, we are not sending Thank You cards. I used to have the kids write a thank you note to my mom when she was still alive, because she would send the gifts here to be opened Christmas day instead of seeing their reaction. If she'd been here when they opened them I don't think a Thank You note would have been needed.

I always made my kids write notes, as I was made to do! They still do it at 20 and 21, thank goodness!

I don't have any thank-yous to write this year, although I did send my ex mother-in-law and sister-in-law a picture I took of them with their husbands and my son and thanked them for a wonderful visit. I guess that was a thank you!

Hi GreenMoo, I have two still to write and send but both were late arrivals after the Christmas but were Christmas presents and my son has been so tired now that they are back at school that I also have not managed to get him to do but will over the weekend as I have a lot of birthdays next week so he will need to write in them also. I don't write to everyone but there are still a few distant friends and relatives that we don't see often that I do make sure we do. Huggles. Ellie:D

Possibly. LOL I sent mine out last week. I had actually wanted to do it sooner, but I wasn't sure if I still had some unused thank you cards from the year before and I was too lazy to look for them. I had an idea where they were, but by the time I would remember it would be time to go to sleep. I figured I would try again the following day, but the same thing would happen. At one point I decided to just buy some new ones while I was at Wal-Mart, but forgot about getting any a couple of times I went! UGH! LOL Finally I decided to look for the ones I thought I had, and sure enough I found them. Yay! I made sure to make them out right then as I had slacked on it long enough. I mailed them off a couple of days later. I actually almost forgot to do so when I got the grocery store, but remembered at the last moment, thank goodness. Otherwise that might still be in my purse. LOL

That's a really nice gesture. I don't celebrate Christmas...so, I never get any gifts. LOL!! So that relieves me from the burden of sending people thank you notes.

I didn't even know that Christmas thank yous were a good thing to give out. On the other hand, it has been a really long time since I received very many gifts. In fact, I get more gifts from my husband's family then my own. My own grandparents didn't give my husband, son, or me anything, but his grandparents gave each of us money! My mom and his parents also gave us gifts, but we just got my mom's in the mail yesterday!
